If you guys wanna draw parallels to last season around this time in order to make yourselves feel better, the Rockets got smoked by 31 at OKC(although the Thunder were a far better opponent than the Pelicans and the Rockets were playing their 4th game in 5 nights) and then came home 2 nights later and suffered an embarrassing loss on New Year's Eve to the Kings(who were far worse last year than this season). I remember the GARM at that time and we were all mighty PO'd and I'd say justifiably so. At that point the Rockets were 21-13. From that point on, they went 23-6 over their next 29 games including a 15-2 stretch(that included the massacre of the Pacers and big OT comeback win over Portland) that left them at 44-19 and in very good shape for home court in Round 1. Now I don't know if these Rockets have a 23-6 stretch of basketball in them given their current problems. But historically this team has gone on a tear in January and February after annoying us with inexcusable losses in the early part of the season. We'll see if history repeats itself.
And we lost in the first round, why compare this year to a failed year, what were we during the championship years? DD
The playoffs are a whole different matter. That may not be fair comparison between this season and last. I'm re-iterating the fact that we will have these moments where the players are sucking and the coaching looks bad, but I'm in firm belief that we'll right the ship and get another chance to break out of the first round with this squad.
