torbush got canned today....because his wrecking crew defense.....well, were the one's getting wrecked.
Please do not refer to them as the wrecking crew, that makes me so mad when i see anyone call any of the recent defenses a wrecking crew. Torbush being fired is a great start, no we need some corners who know how to make a play on the football.

This is a point that can't really be argued anymore. Everyone has different opinions and looks at things differently. For example, someone said that right now Jake Plummer is a better QB then Tom Brady. I don't believe that. Even though Plummer is having a great season and the Patriots are having a down one (although their entire team is hurt) I still think Brady is the better QB. To me, one season doesn't make the player. That's my perspective on things. That's one of the reasons why to me it's clear Leinart is better then Young. I look at the entire body of work , not just one and a half seasons. I see Young's supporters perspectives but I just don't agree with them in terms on Leinart. On the flip side, I can't put McNeal up there with Young. Despite his physical tools (and the fact that he has performed well), his body of work just doesn't measure up. For those who are saying UT wouldn't win without Young and USC would still be good without Leinart must not have seen USC play much this season. They have NO defense. If you don't have a great passer to stretch the field teams put 8 and 9 men in the box and Bush and White would go nowhere (especially against a defense like UT). A perfect example of this is what has happened to Jamal Lewis this season in Baltimore. Teams know that Boller and Anthony Wright won't make plays so they stack the line against Jamal. Ditto for Domanick Davis here and even McGahee to a certain extent in Buffalo. Jamal Charles, Henry Milton, Ramonce Taylor and Selvin Young is a pretty formidable backfield. Pittman and Sweed are damn solid receivers and the defense is amazing (especially the secondary). It's amazing how all UT's talent is overlooked saying "this team couldn't win without Young" and all USC's (which is really only Bush, White, Leinart, Jarrett and Smith) is brought to the forefront. May the best team win the National championship. I'm not biased towards either.
I don't think it's a matter of we CAN NOT win w/o Vince, but he is the heart of this team. It's kinda like saying the Colts could win w/o Manning, their defense is much better and their receivers are unbelievable, I also forgot, they have E. James as well. But there are some players that just keep the team together and upfloat, and Young is one of those guys.
You've changed your argument, or, at the very least, your tone. You started with ~ Matt Leinart is far superior to Vince Young, always will be, etc...And anyone who disagrees should be taken out back and shot. Last year, Vince Young was still maturing as a player. This is like...I don't know, Carson Palmer/Chris Simms/Random young QB vs. Tom Brady. Comparing the sophomore Vince Young to the mature Leinart(No real improvement between last season and this...Maybe a slight, slight regression) isn't fair, so we compare this season.
Its pretty hard to improve on a season when you win the heisman. However its easy to improve on a season when you threw almost as many interceptions as touchdowns.
... which is why people are comparing the current Vince Young instead of looking at a career which doesn't accurately reflect the player he is now.
Thats fine, i was pointing out how silly it was to say Vince Young is better because he is progressing and Leinart is regressing
I changed my tone because it's impossible to have a debate like that. I still believe that as a quarterback matt Leinart is far superior to Vince Young and always will be.
Your right A&M education is worthless and they make people stupid. What an insightful and beneficial comment. I brought up that fact because he was saying that Young had progressed and Leinart had not.
So are you saying your career doesn't define the player you are? That makes absolutely no sense. Rashaan Salaam (sorry Rashaan) had an amzing rookie season. That doesn't make him an elite running back. Your body of work and accomplishments define your career. Right now Leinart is considered a better player then Young. So if you ask the question "Who is the better player right now" Leinart or Young, the answer is Leinart. This doesn't apply to comapring players who are about to retire and young players (in case someone was planning on taking it there).
