ND lost to the best team in college football and lost to Michigan State in OT by a field goal. This is a team that nothing was expected of. Michigan wasn't overrated, they've just had the worst luck of any team this season.

I'll be completely honest and say that I did not watch a single Michigan game this year except for the Mich-Ohio State matchup. This team is nowhere near as talented as last year's Rose Bowl squad. I think their 20th ranking is right where they should be.

HAHA MAck brown would kill for one of those "half championships" , he had to whine and cry on national TV to get Vince into the BCS last year

They barely beat Penn State...I seem to remember the refs adding a second on the clock.

ND is overrated, Wisconsin isn't a good team and Ohio State game is a rivalry game where records get thrown out.

Ask any UM fan (as my father and half his family are) and they'll admit UM isn't a good team this year.

    *yawns*

He didn't whine. He said both UT and Cal deserved to be in BCS and that the Big East champ didn't. Do you deny that this is the case?

No dude, you seem to misunderstand the point other people were making in presenting VY's stats. This guy is clearly having a great season statistically, better than most. The great statistics combined with the fact that his team is #2 and undefeated make him a GREAT college football player, one of the best this year - arguably better than Leinart FOR THIS YEAR.

As for the total body of work, its no contest. Quarterbacks are defined by victories and championships (make note weggie mckneel), I think the whole Leinhart-VY discussion is stupid. I think what people are arguing is that for this year only -- there probably isnt a better quarterback in college football than VY.

the commentators say what people want to hear. fact is the media wants to build him up for ratings. He is exciting and thats what people want to see, they have to build him up for the casual viewer

How can talking about him DURING the game build up ratings for the game? That makes no sense.

The refs added a second on in that game? Don't think so bro, there wasn't even any controversy surrounding it. It doesn't matter that they barely beat them.

My whole family is from Michigan so I think I know a little something myself. When your best player (Mike Hart) is hurt all season and you have to depend on a sophomore QB, a true freshman at running back and #2 receiver as well as a defense filled with injuries, it's tough to play a great season. They played every team down to the wire despite their circumstances, they just had too many obstacles to overcome.

Isn't that what you're saying though? That MNC's are the most important thing in determining good QB's vs. bad ones?

We're talking about current ability not past accomplishments. When looking simply at this season, one can't honestly say that either QB is vastly superior to the other.

Of course it is. Weak reasoning is the only type of reasoning you can have when you are arguing that Young is better then Leinart.

If your whole family is from Michigan, you'd know then, that Henne led UM to the Rose Bowl last year as a Freshman.

Let me get this straight. In one sentence you decry Henne as only a sophomore QB and then cry about Hart (who is also a sophomore) being absent. He's just a sohpomore right? You can't have it both ways.

They want to keep the people for that game and for the next one too. vince young needs to be built up to michael vick. "You have to see this guy play". And i agree he is exciting to watch! But he is getting too much credit, he will be exposed again like A&M exposed him. A&M made him beat them with his arm something he could no do!

Yeah, but Leinart led that team to it's wins. He is an elite player, he isn't Jay Barker. There's no question USC is a super talented team, but so was UT last year and they couldn't get it done. Owned by Oklahoma in a hideous game.

Anyone who says VY cannot pass knows absolutely nothing about football. It's one thing to argue that he's not as good as Leinart but to say VY can't beat anyone with his arm is laughable.
