If Cedric Benson was so great, why wasn't he the one leading the team against Michigan in last year's Rose Bowl? Cedric Benson played a secondary role to a sophmore QB.

The following players have one: Paul Thompson, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Mike Williams, Eric Norgdrem, Shaun Cody, Lendale White, Pete Carroll, Kejuan Jones, Dusty Mangum (i think he sold it). Vicne will trade it to you for a heisman trophy, signed photo of matt leinart, one of leinarts national titles, or Reggie Bush's pants (must be game used)?

I see how it works. When comparing McNeal and Young, you only look at "what would have been" - the facts of their accomplishments are irrelevant. In a Young-Leinart comparision though, only on-the-field results matter.

As for the Leinhart-VY debate. I goto UT, but Leinhart is a champion, VY isn't. That's where the arguement ends.

In the last 2 years, USC has won exactly one more game than UT. Last year, USC was #1, UT was #4. This year #1 and #2. The two QB's are top-3 heisman contenders.

Yet you argue there's a world of difference between the two QB's, and that somehow Reggie McNeal fits somewhere between the two.

I dropped the mcneal , i will not win that one. I still believe mcneal is better than young though. Regardless Leinart and Young is no comparison.

Yeah, at first it seemed as if he really believed McNeal was better and wanted to try to argue it. But after it was obvious he didn't have much a leg to stand on he just chimes in with bigtexxx in whatever way he can that puts down Vince Young. It's pretty apparent what the whole argument is about now.

Plus, I love how his reasoning that McNeal is better than Vince Young is that Young had more to work with...but when that same argument is utilized when comparing Vince Young to Leinart? IC2000 comes back with "blah blah blah"

You are a bunch of Vince Young Homers like I am a Mcneal. You same people probalbly wanted Young benched when he was sucking it up last year at the begininning of the year now jumped on the bandwagon when he started to win.

 

I really do believe mcneal is better but that is a waste of time because you guys are vince young homers. Its hard to have good stats when the rest of your team sucks. Vince Young and leinart have equal talent around them.

 

Reggie Bush will probably win the Heisman trophy and Vince Young will probably finish second.
