An embarassment for college football in Texas. Without looking I can't name the last win by a college football team in Texas over a quality opponent in non-conference play, and to make it even tougher on the road (excluding the Vince Young Texas teams).

Miami having 4 guys in the backfield on every snap would have happened to him if he had the ball. hell he was tackled in the baackfield on the fake hand offs, and Miami still managed to get to the man with the ball and stop him too.
Bill Byrne found Gillespie. He is gonna find someone great to coach football. Y'all may not be big on the Ags. But make no doubt, for a coach, it is still a premier position. The fans, the money, the state. Can't wait for the next coach. Its just a b**** my entire college career has coincided with Fran's run. As he leaves so do I... Unless this team beats OU and either Texas or Nebraska, and ALL other conference games then he is done.
Another embarassing showing by the Big XII on national TV, only a week after Sun Belt juggernaut Troy pounded Oklahoma State on ESPN's Friday night game and UCF took the Horns to the wire on ESPN2. Not to mention CU's abysmal performance at home against a lowly Florida State team on ESPN Saturday night. Last week: Troy 41 - Oklahoma State 23 USC 42 - Nebraska 17 Florida State 16 - Colorado 6 this week: Miami 34 - A&M 17 The conference is fast becoming the laughinstock of the nation.
Agreed, but on the whole, the Big XII looks terrible this year, save for TX and OU. You could even go back to last season and see how we performed in the bowl games, where Boise State, Cal, etc made the conference look dumb.
Fair enough... Don't even look at TAMU getting stomped, UT struggling, or Nebraska getting controlled. Not only is the elite aura from the top of the Big 12 gone. But the Kansas States, Colorado, TAMU, etc... Have completely lost their muscle. The north is still a joke. And take a team like Tech. That style has had them competing in the Big 12 for years. If y'all could only see what the SEC would do to that offense... Alabama held them to what? 9 points in the Cotton Bowl?
Damn right. Top to bottom, the Big XII is ugly. And, yes, Bama totally shut down the vaunted Tech offense in the Cotton a couple of years back.
I can remember 5 years ago where Big 12 was probably the best conference in Football. Where you had OU and UT ranked in the top 5 at the same time, and the second tier guys were getting stronger (Colorado University, Iowa State, and T Tech were all making noises while Nebraska started rebuilding) and Big 12 would win it's non-conference games. It's just embarassing what's happened.
How bad is A&M's defense that Kylie Wright threw for 2 TDs and 227 yrds. That guy can't hit the side of a barn and y'all made him look like a Hiesman candidate.
Uhhh. The final score was 13-10, and that was due to a last second missed field goal by Tech. Oh, and before Alabama's loss at the end of the season, they were ranked #4 in the league with the #1 ranked defense. Hardly an "embarrassment" for the Big XII.
Probably not. My reasoning... 1. McGee was considered a pass first QB coming out of HS. He had loads of TDs. The catch? Jordan Shipley (UT) was his receiver. Hmm... Was it Shipley? Or was it McGee... 2. It can't be Fran. Reggie McNeil threw all over the place his junior season. I believe we even contended for the yards per play record if not breaking it.
