I disagree with both of these statements. I think the Big 12 is every bit as good as the rest of the conferences, and A&M deserved to be ranked as well. This year is the strangest in college football ever..... What happens if Michigan or OSU wins by only a point, wouldn't everyone want a rematch? Lots of teams are just OK...no dominate ones..... DD
I don't think the Big 12 is the worst conference but is it is not one of the top conferences. Any one-loss team that comes out of the Pac10 or the SEC definetley deserve a bid over a one-loss team in the Big 12. Even if Texas would have won last night and the rest of their games, I think USC would deserve it over them if they were to win out.
Whats with all this TAMU is overated? Nobody ever rated them highly. They started unranked, stayed that way until they beat an unbeaten Missouri team. The media doesnt blow them up. They dont get on TV every weekend. No one consistently picks them to win. Their offense is among the youngest in the Big 12. Who exactly overated them? Yes they have a huge fan base and those guys are hardcore. So maybe it seems like we think we are elite. But there isnt much evidence that supports anyone thinking TAMU has been overated. Go attack USC, Cal, Boise, or something. Those guys are a joke.
My uncle went to A&M and A&M football in the Southwest Conference days used to be fun to watch. Plus a player from my hometown played for them so naturally they would be my favorite college team. All the Wrecking Crew defenses they had, the talented teams sending players to the pros, they just COULDNT WIN the big games against quality opponents It was maddening. Then, later I'd visit the university and be up close with the Aggies...............hmm. Yeah I'd say Aggie-Fan has done more for me to loathe A&M football now more than anything
