With Carr out Miles will likely take the Michigan job. Thats leaves LSU, Nebraska, possibly Tennesse (doubt it) ahead of TAMU for coaching jobs. UCLA might be appealing to a west coast coach. We had some talks with Spurrier but that was just a D-tease.

I don't see Spurrier leaving South Carolina. He will lose his Augusta membership if he does

Dangit, do you think I will get pro-rated on my newsletter fee since he will leave mid way through the season?

Fulmer isn't going anywhere. They are not going to can the coach while the team is in first place in the SEC East.

Nebraska may or may not be ahead of TAMU for coaches. They are both in the same conference, etc. And besides...would YOU want to coach at Nebraska while the legend of Osborne is the AD?

I understand Miles has a connection to Michigan, but I'm not sure this is a done-deal. Miles is in the perfect place. A top 5 team with loads of talent that recruits itself that's been one of the top programs in the country for the past 5-6 years. With Michigan, he'd be starting over to an extent. Maybe if he's ready to take a long-term job, he would go to Michigan, but if his goal is to compete for national titles and dominate college football, LSU is the better place to be for now.

This is true but Michigan is to Miles what Notre Dame is to Weis... The heart wants what the heart wants. But you are right, def not a done deal by any means. Either way Michigan or LSU will still be ahead of the TAMU job.

I'm not that sold on Miles to Michigan. They might want someone who speaks english representing the university. The guy is a bit of a loose cannon and, like Texas, Michigan will want someone that can represent the university properly.

Should Michigan take Miles though I see Spurrier going to LSU.

Aggies will get some low level young cordinator. Either NFL or College.

That would be ideal in my opinion. If thats the case expect Byrne to hire someone amazing. If we want the big name we got it though. Despite what many think.

This is a job, and to a certain extent it is about money. Fran was the coach that a lot of teams wanted when A&M hired him.

I'm sure that a lot of haters at the time said that there's no way he'd leave Alabama for TAMU. Unfotunately, they were wrong.

I still think from a coaching standpoint, Chris Peterson would be a great fit there. Someone to spice up the offense and bring some life to that side of the ball. Plus, he's beaten Stoops once already! But I don't know anything about his recruiting ability and all that side of things.

As a loyal "teasip" all I have to say to my Aggie friends is this...

If you are going to pay big-time bucks for a college coach, make sure the coach is a big-time coach!!!

Tuberville would be an ideal fit in Aggieland. If he doesn't take it, I don't know who they're going to get.

The Arkansas job is open now as well, with Nutt out.
