    I don’t even know what I want to happen.
    How do we avoid skubal, and the mariners miss out.
    I guess that’s my ideal situation

    The Mariners are all but finished. They need to win out while both the Royals and Tigers lose out. And that’s not even factoring in the Twins.

    Astros face the Royals as it stands now.

    Once the Twins lose tonight (they apparently have no fight in them) the Royals clinch, then the Royals get ready to face us, giving up on winning at all this weekend against a very motivated Braves team.

    Brown vs Wacha
    Kikuchi vs Lugo

    They tentatively have scheduled Lugo and then Ragans Sunday.

    So best thing to hope for is Minnesota to win tonight and tomorrow and KC lose tomorrow, they would be forced to pitch Ragans and he would be only available on short rest in game 3 or out of the pen.

    I concur with that strategy. I think the Astros should run with that plan for the entire month of October and see what happens.
