(optimistically speaking, considering we even get bosh) i guess the best lineup would be Lowry Martin Bud Bosh Yao good mix of both defense and offense?
DD the only player in the Whole NBA that fits that bill is Channing Frye (And guess what he has a Player Option after this season) What are the chances? After carefully thinking about our PF position I think the one that would interest me the most is Boozer.. Out of all the PF he has the most solid mid-range shot I have ever seen He has a fade-away at the baseline sorta like Hakeem's.. If we can't get a PF with a decent 3pt fg% why not go for the next best thing which is a PF with a very sold mid-range game? We wouldn't have to give up so much for a Chris Bosh trade (If we were to actually be in one). And I can see AB actually staying if we get Boozer instead. (Just FYI: My Predictions in a Bosh trade would involve AB + Scola as the base of the package.)..
Having a PF that shoots the 3 ball would mean that we'd be one of the worst offensive rebounding teams in the league (assuming he starts alongside Yao).
Rockets three point shooting is much of a muchness, nobody is really outstanding:- Kev M-34.4%, AB-39.3%, A za-31.8%, K Low- 29.3%, C Bu- 35.6% S Bat-36.8%.D And-31.4% But collectively we do well with seven 3 pt shooters
AB Martin Chase This group can not stop anyone, I expect Jazz will score more than 100 points every time.
that is the all no defensive unit and we'd get KILLED i cant believe u would think that would be a logical starting luneup, ur credibility, lost
hell nah that lineup would get MURDERED, ur credibility, GONE i see ur a offense w****, dont care nothing about defense
How often does anyone (especially a PF) shoot 3's at a great clip? You can't assume that a solid average means a player is consistent. For instance, let's look at Brooks. He's been our best 3pt shooter this year (39.3%). Brooks has played 58 games this year. Of those 58 games, he has shot less than 30% from the 3pt line 20 times which is 34% of his total games (keep in mind I'm just going by percentage, not volume of shots). And if our 3 pt shooters are misfiring on a third of their games and we have no rebounders to compensate, then we'll probaby lose. Not only that, if Yao is shooting the ball from 10-12 feet away, a PF roaming around the 3pt line might find himself too far away to go for the offensive rebound.
Battier may make the starting lineup better and Ariza maybe doing the same...i don't know...we will see. There is plus and minus to both players. One can attack the hoop while the other can't....one can play fundamental solid defense while hustling all over the court while the other is just solid.
Ariza should be a starter with Martin and Brooks. Battier is older and slow, should be off from bench, but he could be a starter just for his trade value. I do not think you want to trade a bench player when he can be a stater.
I think we start Ariza, and use Battier as a defensive guy we can put in when need be. With a starting lineup of: brooks martin ariza scola yao we have the complete package. We can then put in lowry chase battier Hill Hayes(or Andersen depending on who's still here) You know who we're forgetting about? Jared Jeffries. He's another swingman. He's gotta got moved.
Maybe when you graduate from cartoons to NBA Basketball you will understand. I might say your credibility was lost but you had nothing to loose.
Umm, Raptors have one, forget the 7 footers name. Umm, Celtics have one called Wallace. Get real dude, I am quite certain there is more as well. Oh yeah, the Hornets ahve one called West. Didnt know he could do it till i watched a few of there latest games. guess they better make the ball then huh? Were also gonna assume they will be wide open from double Yao cause really, if they dont double Yao he will make a high percentage. Thats all there is to it.
3 shooters and 2 rebounders have a much better chance of winning than 4 shooters and 1 rebounder, especially if that lone rebounder is Yao.
