basso you don't get to ask that question again. You asked before, and I provided you with links and actions Obama has taken regarding issue in addition to the fact that one supports making it part of our nation's governing document that same sex marriage never be recognized, and the other opposes it. Go dig up the last thread you asked that question and were answered.
after this article i am more than 100% convinced that basso is just a great d&d troll. he has been pretty dominant.
^ I don't know why you go to such great lengths to hide the fact that you don't think homos should get married....just admit it and stop with the silliness. I actually don't feel all that strongly about it anyway - you somehow have made it a hyper-embarrassing issue for a card-carrying, registered New York State Republican Party member such as yourself.
sam, democrats control the NY State Senate, and had they just voted on a party line vote, the measure would have passed 32-30. i'll grant you the NY assembly and senate are completely ****ed up, on both sides of the aisle, but to attempt to blame this vote on Palin is just idiotic. fact is, democrats pay lip service to gay marriage, but when the issue comes to blows, they turn tail.
So you are saying that the New York State Republican Party - of which you are a member - was monolithically opposed to gay marriage before the NY 23 Ideological Purge? If so then why are you touting the brillliant after-effects of the NY 23 Ideological Purge?
What effect does anti-gay marriage jihad within the New York State Republican Party have upon New York State Republicans and gay marriage? Even you are not too stupid to know this.
I noticed that basso has stopped denying that he's a member of the New York State Republican party. I'm too lazy to do the research, but is this because in New York you have to be registered with a party to vote in the party's primary and basso has previously posted about how he voted in a primary. And he's finally figured out that Sam also knows this?
The fact is that you didn't read my post in the other thread where I mentioned specific legislative actions that Obama and Democrats have taken to rectify the discrimination against Gays. You didn't comment on it even after you asked for examples, and seem to be pretending it doesn't exist now. If you too lazy, or don't have the skills to read and follow links, please vacate the D&D. You don't have what this forum would require to participate.
i'm ashamed of those 8 demo-morons who voted against it. As a registered New York State Republican - are you ashamed of the fact that your Freeper/Tea Party/Palin buddies caused the entirety of your party's delegation to not vote for it, in the wake of the ideological purge of NY23? Simple question.
So collectively, the eight Democrats who voted against the bill are more to blame than the thirty Republicans?
They are at least as much to blame. If the Democrats stood together as much as the Republicans do, they could affect some mighty powerful change, but in general, I like that they aren't in lockstep like the GOP. I find it ironic that some posters accuse the left of having a "herd" mentality when it is the GOP that is more likely to unthinkingly follow their mouthpieces at Faux "News."
no. Spoiler which of course is the correct answer since i'm not a member of the republican party, of this, or any other state.
You don't have to be a member of the republican party to be a certified liberal hating, right-wing nut.
That's interesting, so this post, in which you described yourself as a Republican and were referring to past experiences voting in the New York State Republican Primary - was fabricated? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=3432830&highlight=primary#post3432830 (assist to gifford)
