It is easier to label than to comprehend.

Brooks is unpopular right now because he plays really poor defense AND he's struggling big time with his shooting. I still don't know who or what you're talking about when you say people are proclaiming Lowry as greatness. He's an easier guy to root for than AB because of his motor, and he's played surprisingly well as a starter (IMO) when many people claimed he wasn't up to the task. That's it ... no one is calling him a star that I know of.

I'm sort of the opposite of you. I also try not to advocate either way, but I get more irritated when people nitpick guys who are hustle/energy players and then make constant excuses for more talented players who don't do the "little things".

I view +/- as a tool for identifying how the team plays when certain players are on the floor. After that, one must dig deeper and watch the games to understand why the results were what they were. If the sample size is large enough and other factors tend to "even out", then you can reasonably infer things like one player is doing more to help his team than another.

They are pretty easy to find, scan a gamethread, find someone whose name pops up twice about anything Lowry/Brooks. "Find other ____ posts"

This Brooks guy gets a lot of love for playing significantly worse than Lowry the last two seasons.

See? When you hear something not nice to your own feeling, you disagree and argue. I am only stating what I observed. I am not saying which Rocket is a better player than another. I just want our team to stay competitive in every game they play no matter what.

What irritates me more are people who like to call others out but are guilty of the same things

I think you're the last person to talk when it comes to labelling.

With all that said, Lowry is unquestionably our best PG, but he is not our long term solution.

Lowry is playing the best, and if he could stay hot like he was he could be the long term solution, just as AB could as well if he can get his mojo back.

I hope you are not suggesting that I am guilty of this.

I am pretty stedfast in my proclamation that you win or lose as a team.

Perhaps with Ariza, but Jesus Christ was he terrible.

Oh come on, you have been a AB nut hanger long enough for almost everybody to take notice. Now you simply deny it. Even DD does better in that department. Be an man and own it up.

If you think Ariza was terrible, how come you give AB a free pass. He's playing worse than what Ariza did last year.

But AB can't rebound and steal.

I don't know. Ariza as a 2nd option is a failure. But as 4th option he'll help the team. He helped Lakers and he helps NO. The key is he shouldn't take more than 8 shots per game, concentrate on defense, rebouding and passing.

Im sure it appears that way through your Lowry goggles

I am not giving Brooks a free pass.

He has sucked since coming back, but I have seen what he is capable of so I am not ready to run him out of town yet, which others seem prepared to do.

And the only thing worse than Ariza last year, is Ariza this year.
