The second song in the video is, Nightwish - Nemo. Which crazily enough is considered metal. I call it Opera Metal.
Nightwish - Nemo This is me for forever One of the lost ones The one without a name Without an honest heart as compass This is me for forever One without a name These lines the last endeavor To find the missing lifeline Oh how I wish For soothing rain All I wish is to dream again My loving heart Lost in the dark For hope I`d give my everything Oh how I wish For soothing rain Oh how I wish to dream again Once and for all And all for once Nemo my name forevermore My flower, withered between The pages 2 and 3 The once and forever bloom gone with my sins Walk the dark path Sleep with angels Call the past for help Touch me with your love And reveal to me my true name Oh, how I wish... Nemo sailing home Nemo letting go Oh, how I wish...
If Snyder and Novak were of any value, JVG would have played them. I'm not so sure. Snyder seems to have a world of upside to me, but strikes me as not a comfortable fit in a highly structured system. Allowed to play in a more fluid offensive oriented system, he may blossom. As to Novak, yea, he may be something of a "stiff," but I still say there is a place in the NBA for a pure shooter.
Rafer Alston is a pure point guard. Steve Nash is a pure point guard, Rafer is not particularily a great passer-distributer, play caller, innovator, finisher, or shooter. He handles the ball well, but, wow, he has a boatload of deficits. I would wager that he doesn't start on any team in the NBA except Houston. None. Nice guy, but I have no idea why he was ever on this team.
Wow, I forgot just how good Francis is and how much he used to Show Boat. We'll see how Steve plays this year. It should be great!
The Portland move was to get rid of Zach Randolf whose contract was even bigger and longer than Steve's. The fact that Steve was a possible "buyout" is what made the trade happen. With a stroke of a checkbook, their problem was solved and they can sign the youngsters and build that team without Randolph. It just so happens to REALLY help the Rockets, but to say Portland paid him not to play there is wrong. They were trying to dump Zach and they did.
It's a little naive to think that sportswriters wont be lazy when they can get away with it. I would say that most sportswriters just pull stuff out of their butt without researching anything, and then the ones that actually do work hard and really learn about the players in the game get shutdown by incompetent editors, thus ruining any incentive to work hard if BS articles get greenlit but one that happens to take a different take doesn't. It sucks when there are basically only two huge companies that cover all the sports (and suck at it) and all the editors of the smaller companies don't know any better so they just ask their staff to emulate the style of the big guys instead of trying to look unique. To all the sports writers who read this, work harder, get your editor fired, don't be lazy.
Great thread. These writers are so obvious in their prejudices. No homework. It's sad, really. These are people who prefer the black and white world of Van Gundy, and are bitter to see something smarter take shape.
I agree with Jeff's initial points. solid: not sure about Bonzi, but I DEFINITELY hope that he'll play well this season. I love the Francis video
