    PJ Tucker was a journeyman
    Pat Bev
    Hassan Whiteside

just to name a few recent guys that took a bit for it to click before they got a chance. Comparing him to Thabeet is odd because one was drafted in the lottery with high expectations and was a bust while the other worked his butt off to get to this point.

Sometimes you gotta let these guys go to places where they can get big league experience and not just dominate the g league.

Why would the Clippers be dumb enough to trade Paul George for Westbrook?

Westbrook can’t even get u Aaron Gordon, but he’ll get u Paul George?

    Harden
    EG
    George
    Tucker
    Wood

it’s too good to even dream about...the fantasy I want, but will never get

PG for Brodie, why not. But Im still confident that Harden & Brodie can play well with a complement of new players; better shooters and a big guy like C Wood. It would be great if we get Cousins

No question the guy has to prove himself, having good numbers in a tanking situation surronded by zero talent doesn't really mean anything, but it's also pretty clear he got better over the time so, we'll see.

But i think this is still a good move all things considered, the Rockets really needed a center, to either be able to compete but also (and mostly i'd say at this point) to show they aren't really forced to trade Harden for whatever trash offer they get, if they would've started the season with no center or some ass tier player like let's say Okafor, other teams would've know they were already resigned to lose Harden now, this gives us a better team and also some leverage in trade talks. Plus, whether Harden and Russ are moved or not, Wood is young so, you can keep or eventually move him in whatever situation we end up in.

At this point I've given up on the Harden train. Give me an equal return in value and lets move forward with that. I know that's going to be hard to get, but even if we have Harden under contract, I don't want no-defense-I-don't-want-to-be-here Harden, even if he can put up 30/10 nights in his sleep.

That's the plus side of the Wood signing. He works with our short-term future and our more long-term one.

Keep the guys that want to be here, since we still have some solid vets, and add a young star, some future 1sts and some other developing talent. That way the trajectory starts trending upward and we can become one of the more respected franchises again (hopefully we can oust Tillman in the process).

Harden and Westbrook are great individual players that were unable to play with each other in a cohesive unit.

Because of Christian Wood’s skill set, he is the bridge that can link Harden and Westbrook together to get the most out of the team.

His value to the team will be greater than his individual ability, and his individual ability itself is pretty good.

Wood is like Harden a hidden gem....not saying he will be as good as Harden but over 2 seasons when he played over 30 mins he averaged 22+Ppg per 36 minutes...

Look snowflake. Your doom & gloom is uncalled for. And you don't know basketball. Call the principal.
This guy was worth between 9m-18m. We got him in between. Give him a chance to prove it.

Harden turning down the extension doesn't mean he is 100% gone either. He wants to leave now and obviously isn't going to commit to another two years because of that. But if we can't/don't work out a trade and things are going well here, it's conceivable he could change his mind to at least play out this year at full capacity, especially if the Nets don't start out well.

This move shows that Harden is no longer stirring the franchise & that’s a good thing. If this means Harden is no longer happy with us so be it. He wants out and so does Westbrook okay play y’all’s way into a trade we can’t refuse. Be so awesome that every team will over pay for you.

Unnecessary, classless and way out of line.

Yes it’s a pessimistic view, but it’s just a view, and more importantly it’s about basketball. If you’re unable to debate without making totally classless, unnecessary personal attacks find another forum to comment in.

It was a dumb & needless comment on @RustyHarden 's part, but I also think y'all are being a tad too sensitive here.

He's definitely better than David Wood.

Exactly, if he could do all that, his ass would be with Klutch sports trying to demand a trade to LA..
