that would also help....if the shirts were on every seat as you walked in. Thats what they did in Miami last year.

Get some 5 for $20 footlocker red T's. Wear one and wave a second. Have a third wrapped around your head like Petey Pablo, and a fourth around your mouth like Iraqi insurgents. Keep the fifth in case of emergency.

if the organization wans red that bad, provide some freaking t-shirts to the fans. not everyone logs on to clutchfans every day to see what the fanbase is doing, many people going to the games right now are bandwagon fans who just want to see some action now that we're in the playoffs. take a page out of mark cuban's book (the one good thing he does is put his money where his mouth is and give incentives to the fans) and pony up for some giveaways. if jvg and tmac can buy season tickets for a bunch of fans, the rockets organization should be able to afford $5 red tshirts for the stadium.

It's simple, if the organization wants all of TC to wear red, then they need to pony up and provide the shirts.

The crowd did it's job...it was loud. And that's the most important thing.

Well I guess they made right decision since according to you guys...no one was wearing red shirts. We wanted to get the TC red as possible and distributing 18,000 red towels would be much easier and cheaper than 18,000 shirts.

18,000 shirts at $5/piece would be about $100,000. The Rockets have a lot of money but they are on a budget just like every other franchise. Since we have at least 3 more games, we also anticipate moving on further and further, they have to budget their promotions.

Other teams don't seem to have a problem handing out shirts to all of the fans, why do the Rockets?

Crowd looked good on TV -- seemed much more into it than normal so early in a series.

No it really wasnt. I was saying that all the stores are out of good stuff, so all the bandwagoners must have gone to buy them up. Nothing towards you at all...

Hey I just realized, we got alot of fat people in this city since we are perenially in the list of fattest cities in the country, so the Rox probably don't want to give out shirts that people won't wear because it won't fit them or it's too tight and really makes them look fat.

    Just a thought...

Can someone explain to me the advantage the Houston Rockets basketball team would gain by having their fans wear the same color? As long as the crowd is loud, I don't care if 400 lbs men are showing up in g-strings.

i don't think it's got anything to do with people buying up all the apparel. it's got more to do with the stores not carrying ANY rockets stuff. literally, every store i went to consisted of about quarter rack of Rockets gear. quite sad.

We already had Budweiser sponsor every single Red Rowdie's playoffs tix. Other than beer companies, I don't recall that many sponsors that would like to spend $100,000/game.

Also, Toronto can do this because they'll only have to do it for a couple more games. We need to prepare ourselves for a Championship run. ;)
