    My Favorites are Thomas Benton (who was the teacher of Thomas Pollock and who also hated Pollocks work), Van Gogh, Cezanne. And I like the guy who paints all the lonley people. I forget his name though. He has that painting of the people at the corner diner.

    That painting that Mrs. JB posted, PSJ, is "The Nighthawks" and one of the most famous or well-known paintings in American history.

    It was my #3 choice on most well-known paintings by American artists.
