I understand what you're saying, but look at it from a soldier's perspective. I know you're a little bit more to the center on the war than most of the anti-war crowd, so this doesn't apply to you as much. But, you still have people saying Bush is an embarassment, Bush is a murderer, this war is only about oil, etc. How much can someone really support the troops if all they think they're doing is commiting murder for oil? I mean, how do you think that's going to make a soldier feel?

The best answer is that those people really don't believe those hyperbolic statements they make, and are just using them to underscore their point that they are against the war. I don't believe simply being against the war means you are not supporting the troops. However, I don't see how someone who uses hyperbolic statements that only serve to villify America can ever be taken as "support."

I just wish some people would lay off the rhetoric a little.

    ok, lets cover everyone.

People have a right to their opinion.

Other people have a right to have an opinion about that opinion.

The people that have an opinion about the opinion have the right to do whatever they want in retaliation about the opinion they dont like.

People that don't like what the people that don't like the original opinion do/say(within the law) about the person that has the original opinion have the right to do/say(within the law) whatever they want.

    Aint democracy grand! ;)

Alright RM95, I respect that opinion. I don't know if I'd say it were stupid to boycott someone based on their opinions though. If someone is that strongly for or against something, and they see someone else voice the anti-side (Made up words are fun), then I think they can voice their displeasure however they want. I wouldn't call their actions r****ded...

    Should be changed to:

People have a right to their opinion.

Other people have a right to have an opinion about that opinion.

The people that have an opinion about the opinion may be 'r****ded'.

I think the key part of his message was pointing out that she wouldn't have said that in front of a crowd in Lubbock. It was more of an opportunistic stance than a principled one.

    Oski,

There are things that I do not talk to the press about BECAUSE it would have an effect on my business.

I had dealings with Microsoft where they used very questionable business tactics, I could have hammered them in the press, but I took the high road.

MS noticed this, and now we are in discussions on a game idea I have.

I will take great satisfaction in cashing their check.

But, I will always watch what I say when it comes to my business, that is just good sense.

    :)

Of course, but hypothetically, you got passionate about something and said the PS2 is an embarrassment at a Game Cube convention. Ok, I'm reaching, I give up.

I wish the search function worked. I want to do a search for all boards for (in quotes) "big bush". So many people say they are a big bush backer. Others say they are not a big bush fan. I guess given the roght context I am absolutlely NOT a big bush fan. I don't really like bush at all. Maybe, just a little bitty bush fan but that's it. I am not a big bush man.

    We got your back Bush!

    ewwwww...back bush...maybe a wax?
