I loved the movie, and loved the ending. Didn't anyone else find it chillingly ironic that in the end, the mother was "created" by mechas to love for David, just as David had been created humans to love her? Or that David, in his quest to become a real boy, became more "real" than the mother (or any human being for that matter), who would disappear at the end of the day? Even though the ending on the surface seemed sappy and contrived, there were some haunting undertones that have left me think about a few things for the last couple days. (like the nature of love -- is love soley a human emotion? how it is definied? can it be learned?) I can't wait to see it again. ------------------
