Toronto's team revolves around Bosh, he was not playing. We had 3 players score 30+ points. That is an anomaly. Hadn't happened since the 90's for this team or any other team in the NBA I think(?) Fact is, you can't expect that type of production every night from those guys. Also, we had a better matchup against Toronto without Bosh than Sac. You are judging them solely on their season record. You have to look closer a the actual player matchups (and not based on your personal opinion of the player's skills). Brooks didn't shoot well, if we had Lowry, he comes in and usually gives good production allowing Brooks to rest and not take so many shots on a off night. We also would have gotten 10-15 from Ariza and rebound help.
Guess what Sweet lou 4 2, we play them again later in the season. We will have out fill rotation back by then. Let's see what happens in that game? On the road at that.

well the thread has the word "TEAM" in the title, so that's why that dude never would be mentioned here.
Then folks need to quit whining about the team losing games when they are short handed and the folks that are here are having to log very heavy minutes. Not directed at you TG, just saying in general.
People fail to realize how valuable Ariza and Lowry are to this team. Lowry gives us a change of pace at the PG. He pushes the ball and can drive and plays great D. Brooks has been forced to play basically the whole game for the past few weeks. Ariza may put up some bad shots but he is a threat on offense which takes pressure off Martin and can help Martin get some more open shots. Ariza is also a very good defender. We should've won against the Kings but we need Lowry and Ariza back ASAP for a playoff push.
Umm but we lost a huge ammount of games even when healthy.. Of course we were without Yao, but losing Trevor and Lowry isn't the reason we're losing. Obviously we'd have a better chance with them, but we have been on losing streaks for a while now and that's with them playing.
LOL even for a Tinman post this is pretty pathetic. One could dribble on and on about how both those teams were completely different after Tmac left, much less the fact that in Toronto Tmac wasn't really a key component. But to ring the bells over draft picks and money....really??? As if Tmac has something to do with how those things turn out. Lets see. Lets try it with your pal. Rockets-Before Barkley = two time defending champ. Rockets-Last years of Barkley = bottom feeding celler dwellers about to get the first pick. Turrible, just turrible.
Oh I guess by some of your standards then...The Rockets have a star in Martin. A damn near all star in Brooks, didn't realize a backup PG and a terrible shooting, no handles wingman (who didn't Martin replace anyhow) were so important to beating last place teams.
Rockets should beat teams sub .500 teams despite injuries... Last night looked like the Rockets just beat themselves.
Yeah, 2 new rotation players in the last 2 weeks(Martin/Jeffries), and 2 other rotation guys simply out(Lowry/Ariza) certainly helps beat any team. Having the team as constructed all year makes a big difference though. I think a lot of people see the team struggling to define roles now with new players coming in and some that should be here not playing. The chemistry that the team had earlier on this season is shot with the new and missing faces. See all those 40s in the minutes played categories for players like Brooks and Battier? Yeah, thats because we are short handed. Doing that for too long(going on 2-3 weeks now for Brooks) will wear players out. That's not even talking about that big guy coming back next year. When you are down 3 players that should be there, and are integrating 2 new players, you might see games like this.
Why? Because they are the Rockets? They are hovering around .500 basketball. Most .500 teams I know of can get beat by weaker NBA teams. Especially when they are recovering from a trade where a key rotation player is shipped out, and 2 new ones come in. Oh, and I could also see .500 teams losing to weaker teams if 2 of their better defenders and key rotation players are out with injuries. Oh and I can also see .500 teams losing to weaker teams when the highest paid player on the team is out for the season with an injury. Rockets have all 3 strikes going against them right now.
that's because he didn't want to be. Toronto wanted him to resign and they would have paid him. But he was jealous of his cousin, the slam dunk champion.
