IUt's east to be really impressed with the NBA this season. Things have generally been very positive and we are seeing the emergence of new stars and a shifting of power back to the East. The emergence of guys like Wade and Lebron. The re-emergence of TMac and Allen. All the negativity in NJ and toronto now on the back burner. The Kobe/Shaq feud likewise. Potential stars on the horizon like Stoudamire, Howard, Anthony....

Teams like the Wizards, Celtics, Clevelend, Seattle, Houston, Phoenix and Miami making big improvement and all making the game more fun to watch. So many good things happening this year. Even watching Isaiah and Weisbrod screwup have been entertaining.

So why now do we have Silas going off on Boozer, Van Gundy and TMac still sniping with Weisbrod. Iverson still acting like a spoiled 12 year old. It seems like the season is in danger of inching back to the days of a year or two ago when everyone was focused on punking Marbury, Iverson, Francis and any number of other underachieving playground specialists. The re-emergance of fundamental basketball has been refreshing.

We have a chance to see the resurgence of star power like in the days of Jordan, Bird and Johnson. I hope that as the season winds into the playoffs all this off the wall crap will disappear for good and we can start next season on a real high note. This year hsa been the best in a long time for pro ball. Let's hope it continues on the upswing.

Sorry for the disjointed rant. Just let this thread die the quick death it deserves.
