Thanks for the post. Yao just needs to stay healthy so he could reclaim his crown as best center for DH12 and win us a championship. Than everyone will be happy :)

this is exactly why he can NEVER be the leader of any franchise, Dwight Howard is already waaaaaaay more hungry than he is which makes superman the dominating one.

This is really what Yao said after checking the original article. I also can't believe this is the meaning from his heart, but it is true. the reason maybe is just like this.

In the middle of regular season,Rocket team met the great difficulties such as injury and losing streak, that is so bad situation, it is no doubt to make people feel having a defeat season. Finally, they broke through the 1st round in post season, in other words, they got a not so bad result that is different from what they considered at that time.

I don't think the translation is accurate for this particular sentence.

What Yao meant basicall is: He feel comfortable because their effort have been rewarded.

Depends on how you interpret it. I think a critical achiement in the second half this year is that the team start to play like a team now, they start to have identity, everyone plays hard, both on D and on O. They are sharing the ball, they are moving. They are not perfect, but they never lack effort. It is a big achivement.

Of course, passing 1st round is also an achivement.

We should be realistic: When was the last time that a team win it all after they have never pass 1st round for 10+ years?
