Ball movement, selfless play, making the right and good decision making working hand-in-hand with good shooting. When you shoot in the flow of the offence and not forcing it up because you do not know when next you will get another opportunity to tend to hit them more from a similar experience. Rudy and Calvin Murphy have made mention of this many times.

Simply put you cannot hit open shots if you do not get open shots - period.

Even though Steve is the Rox best scoring option, he should be the last.

    that sounds kinda stupid, huh.

I'd like to see Steve take on a game like Gary Payton's. Payton is the type that likes to get his teammates involved and will pass if they're making shots, but if they're not making shots he'll take over the offense and score himself. Either way though, way to go Franchise!:D

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the groin pain that Steve had the previous game. Bill and Calvin made slight mention of it, but that was all that was said. Perhaps Steve was just taking it easy....and maybe it took a little injury to open a better door for the team.
I believe that the goal at the start of a game, is to obvioulsy get everyone involved, and to see who has the hot hand on the court, and who has the advantages. If the other teammates step up, then Steve can go from there about distributing the ball and making plays. If nobody can hit a shot, then he'll need to do more himself.
The problem is when the other teammates aren't utilized. Defenses catch on to this trend.

That would make an extra 6 shots at the most. that is 10 shots, whoppie! Jason Kidd takes 15.66 shots per game. Steve is by far the better scoring option then Jason Kidd. There for should take at least the same amount of shots as Kidd.

Check the stats. Even count the last 2 games, Steve Francis still have more FGA than Jason Kidd.

But the point is that does it matter how many shots SF takes as long as we win?

And for the sake of arguement, I can say that the reason Jason Kidd takes so many shots is that currently he doesn't have many offensive options around him. I still remember that Kidd in the Suns has missed a few triple doubles because he would not get enough pts.

Right now SF has more talent around him than JK. So it's not a matter of offensive talent, it's a matter of finding an easy way to win. And I firmly believe that that "easy way" is not SF scoring 25 odd pts every day.

Steve is out best scorer. Yao should look for him first, as well as all the other teammates. Steve should'nt be the only one feeding.
Let them feed him. That's way better than dribble dribble cross cross triple team jump in the air t/o.

But Steve's the PG so he has the ball all the time. If he doesn't pass to Yao or other teammates first, they can't look for him and pass back to him.

Steve can still take 15+ shots as far as I am concerned. But the key is that he needs to do it within the offense. With the talent we have, the Steve Francis ISO all the time tactic is well... just dumb.

Anyway, stop talking about the shots matter now. Let them figure it out a way to win themselves and we enjoy the fruit.

TECH, I didn't know that Francis had groin pain. Did that happen against GSW and do you think it has effected his jumping, shooting, and speed on the court since then?

man steve has been doing thius all season. Passing the ball but his teamates just dont make them most of the time so he takes over and shooots lights out. He is the best shooter in the rox so i dont mind him takin shots. Last 2 games he did his usual thing but teamates were making shots, so he just kept going what was workin he wasnt forcing nothing. But if teamates dont make ****s when he passes right open shots he will start scoring more. It all depends on the rest of the rox he ddint change hi steamates have the last 2 games. Watch if the rox dont start well next game and steve hasnt taken a shot dont blame it on him, cuz this is how the rox start always missing shots but not from francis. He always cums through.

I liked what i saw against the t-wolves. The rocks played really well. I also like what i saw from the rocks against the magic. Steve played tough D both games....granted that he didnt face a premier pt. gaurd....he still played really well and got his teammates involved. Go Steve! Keep up the good work!

Give him credit; he has definitely improved in ball sharing from last season. But I didn't like Stevie's play in the second half of Orlando. It was as if at halftime he thought to himself "uh-oh, this could be 2 subpar scoring games in a row." He came back after halftime and forced some shots in the second half that I thought took them out of what had been working so well in the first.
