That's what the headline of the Chicago Sun-Times will read tomorrow.

A guy disrupts a ball that would've been out 2 with men on the corners, and the Marlins end up scoring 8 runs to make it 8-3 in the bottom of the 8th. That dude needs security guards to get him home.

Yea...that was a collosal bonehead fan for you. All he's thinking about is getting a ball. He had a lapse in judgement. He was so focused on that ball that he didn't realize he was ruining Alou's chance to make an out.

    What a game!

One of the worst mistakes ever made in Illinois. Dude needs to move and change names. Wow. Sad story. Poor dude.

He is just lucky he ain't in my native England at a football match. Dude would be castrated, eye-gouged, skull-****ed, bamboo under the nails, ice pick in the ankle already. Luckily they don't have foul balls in football....

LOL! If the poor kid didn't catch it, the worst outcome of that inning would have been 3-1. I really hope now that the Cubs can pull through and win game 7 for his sake...

If you watch the replay, the guy who ends up touching the ball last (the same guy FOX is showing again and again on TV in order to increase the guy's chances of getting banned from society)... wasn't the guy who first blocked the ball from Alou.

Several guys were going for that ball... but since he last touched it, he's gonna get all the flack.

Regardless... there was ONE man on base at the time (Pierre on second)... then Prior walks Castillo on a wild pitch... then after a single by IRod (dude is clutch), Alex Gonzalez boots a easy ground ball to short..... LUGO STYLE!!!

While that foul ball should have been caught, the rest of the inning should not have happened the way it did.

Yeah, at least Jeffrey Maier helped his team by interfering.

I think it was destiny because it was Alou and he was an Astro. Just like it was destiny when the Cubs beat the Braves when Hampton was pitching the final game.

IT'S THE ASTROS CURSE I TELL YOU!!! IT'S EVERYWHERE!!!

Actually it was more Alex G's error at short that put them in real trouble. No fan interference there. Just plain old Junior High short stop action. If I was gettin paid only 250,000 and year, I would make damn sure I turned that out, or taken a knife to my own temple right there on the field.

the A. Gonzalez error was the BIGGEST MISTAKE of the inning.

This game is going to be remembered for the foul ball, but c'mon... that play happens 9 times out of 10 in EVERY BALLPARK (regardless of the situation of the game).

However, easy ground balls to short, especially in the 8th inning of a clinching game, are expected to be fielded.

Alex is the one who should be on the front page tommorow... not the fan.

If the Cubs lose tomorrow, I would be surprised if that fan was NOT beaten down and battered. He's on the front of ESPN.com right now.

    WHAT was he thinking?

Sportscenter just said fans were throwing beers at the guy.

He's not going to survive the next 24 hours.

Fans threw beer on him? I guess that's nothing to what he may get.

It looked like he was about to cry.

They make him look like one of Jerry's kids on ESPN. That should help his cause. He should just start gimping about on his way home.

Dusty Baker was asked if he had any words for the fan. Instead of saying "we lost" the game, he said "I don't have any words for him. He must have been a Marlins fan". Nice (shakes head).

I dont see how this is funny. The poor guy looked like he was about to cry and looked scared ****less.

Espn is also not helping by putting up the guys picture on their webpage.

He had a lapse in judgement (a BIG one), but I hope nothing bad happens to the poor guy. He was decked out in Cubs gear and looked like a true Cubs fan. For his sake I hope the Cubs win game 7.
