You can do a search for KJAZZ, they have a range that extends as far as 23 feet, that makes them the most powerful jazz station in the USA!
Does anyone remember Rikki Tikki Tavi (weird little story about a mongoose fighting cobras)? Seems like they would always show it around Christmas for some reason, but I haven't seen or heard of it in many years.
Hehe, that is classic. I just recently got "Unity" by Larry Young - greatest jazz organ CD I have ever heard. Also, got "Point of Departure" by Andrew Hill - little bit harder to get into, reminds me of Eric Dolphy (maybe because Dolphy plays on POD ). I can definitely attest to what Jeff said about be-bop (cool bop, hard bop, etc) being an acquired taste. Sometimes it has taken 4 or 5 listens for me to enjoy a jazz CD, other times only 1 or 2 listens. And then there are those that I still have a hard time listening to like "Out to Lunch" and "Interstellar Space" by Coltrane. And I agree that this is a good thread and this is coming from someone who hardly ever agrees with rimrocker on anything but he is dead on with this topic.
Those Cobras Nag and Nagaina were freaky, the thing was narrated by Orson Wells which is pretty strange as well. I think I know why they don't show this on TV anymore.
According to Woofer and one of his "article finds", that LGB would probably be off about 100 meters, and in no way go down a "funnel." CB Christmas Special is definitely going to be banned by the ACLU in a matter of years. Buy it while you can.
Try reading the article. The particular devices discussed had a precision of 10 meters. The GPS devices report back position with a precision of 100 meters. I don't mind arguing but try to keep the facts straight first.
Okay. <----------that little symbol means "ribbing" or "joke" or "just kidding" <--------------in this case, that one means "lighten up." ? <----------means: "We cool?"
