Biyombi - I'm not sure, but didn't he play in the USA v World Team game this last weekend? If this is who I'm thinking of (only caught last 4-5 minutes of the game, sadly), then this guy looked good. Really good.

Seemed to have some BBIQ as well as some height.

I'm answering my own question here; the player I saw this weekend was indeed the PF Biyombo (it's Biyombo, btw and not Byombi).

I nearly had a heart attack when I flipped to that channel, stopped and watched for a moment - I saw only a flash of the back of his jersey and I thought it said Mutombo on there. <G> That's what caught my eye and made me watch the rest of the game; I was trying to figure out if this was an offspring of Deke and could we get first dibs on him already?

He made a lot of smart moves, good rebounding skills, seemed to have a feel for the game. A negative would be that he only starting playing into high school and is 'only' 6'9".

I think we need to approach the offseason with 2012 in mind.

Re-sign Chuck and Yao, develop who we have, and hope one our draft picks is worth something.

Then go all out in 2012 for Dwight Howard and hope Courtney Lee can work his magic to get his best friend to Houston.
