This is very true, the only time I ever tried Freebirds I couldn't finish the burrito it tasted so bad. Maybe they just had a bad batch of beans or something but I don't plan on going back again. Of course Mission Burrito is better than all of them.
new place out on Eldridge between Briar Forest and Memorial called Moe's Southwest Grill that beats them all. with white cheese queso, too.....mmmmmm.
At New York Pizzeria, they spell "gyro" as "hero" on their pizza boxes. I laugh at it every time I see the box. But their pizza is one of the best.
It depends on if you consider a tortilla a slice of bread. If you do, then a burrito is an open-faced sandwich that has been rolled/folded.
Aren't they simply referring to a "hero" sandwich, which is simply an italian sub sandwich??? I think you should stop laughing at NY Pizzeria now.
How....ridiculous. No, a burrito is most definitely NOT a sandwich. Will they sue some burger joint that tried to open in the mall? A burger, while also not a sandwich, is certainly more of a sandwich than a freakin' burrito will ever be.
THANK YOU. I'll never understand anyone's fascination with Chipotle or Freebirds while Mission Burrito exists. Mission Burrito = Yummy-ness.
lol, I didn't even know there was anything called a Hero sandwich. I guess they have been laughing at me all this time.
According to the legend the Earl of Sandwich didn't want to step away from the card table to eat so he asked his servant to put a piece of meat between two pieces of bread. He didn't ask his servant to put a piece of meat inside a flexible piece of unleavened dough and roll it up. So no a burrito is not a sandwich.
