LOL. Behad, how long you been holding on to that link just waiting for the right time to spring it? Yeh, let's trade for the same players that made Memphis such a powerhouse...
Lo-Wright may be cheaper, but he's not better than Cato. I think Cato is more the mold that West is looking for anyway - bigger, taller, stronger, more blocks, more toughness.
Rudy wanted swift when he was in the draft. And his folks live across the street from my sister...This can only mean that he will be a Rocket.... But I can't see West trading away 2 lottery picks for Cato and Cat. That would just show that either they can't coach, or that the team wasted the picks, which would lower the fan's morale, and thus leave more empty seat.... However, if Cat or Cato had gone to Memphis State, this would be a done deal. But Cato and Cat ain't gonna put butts in seats...and that's what it's all about....
Sane - I respectfully disagree. Cato is 30-35#'s heavier and blocks a few shots. Wright is better in all other aspects of the game (some postup game, decent face up shooter, enough foot speed to guard PF's, FT%, etc.). Wright is 1 year younger, not a head case and is nearly a career double-double in 25 mpg (9.2/7.1). Who are all of the WC C's that Wright can't stand up to besides Shaq? Nesterovic, Kandi, LaFrentz, Divac, Dale Davis, Tsakalides, Camby, Dampier/Foyle, Ostertag/Padgett.... You're placing way to much premium on Cato's "toughness". We could argue the point further but the bottomline is...IF Cato is better than Wright, he is not significantly better to pay them both a combined salary of $13+m. Can we agree on that much? http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lorenzen_wright/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kelvin_cato/index.html?nav=page
