Eventhough the Cap. had never eaten seagull before the restaurant, did he THINK he was eating seagull when stranded on the island?
Here's my deduction: Supposedly, the captain was stranded on an island. However, if the captain was around seagulls while he was stranded, then he in fact must not have been on an island at all. Seagulls, as a rule, tend to stick near coastal areas and are not found on islands in the ocean. While "stranded" the captain survived by eating his crew. However, since the presence of seagulls on the "island" indicates that he was not on an island at all, then eating his crew was probably unnecessary. The gulls show that he was either on a penninsula or some other coastal area, and probably could have just walked off and saved himself without resorting to cannibalism. When the captain chomped down that first bite of seagull in the restaurant, he suddenly put it all together and realized what had actually occured so long ago. He had needlessly eaten his crewmates. He could not live with this fact, so he hauled out a gun and ended his own life right there on the spot.
Did the seagull somehow make the captain realize that he hadn't been as far from inhabited land as he though?
So he thought he was eating Seagulls on the island... when he ate real Seagull, he realized that he hadn't eaten seagulls before and thus must have eaten his crew, and decided to kill himself out of guilt. Yes? or No
So he thought he was eating Seagulls on the island... when he ate real Seagull, he realized that he had eaten his crew, and decided to kill himself. Yes, but that is not all of it. DCkid Did his men trick him into believing he was eating seagull? No. These 2 tie together. DaDakota
You suck Were there natives on the island? Were there pirates on the island? Was there anyone on the island besides the captain and his crew?
The natives served the captain his crew while on the island, but told him it was seagull. When he got back and ate real seagull at the restaurant, he then knew that he had eaten his crew. He couldn't take this, so he killed himself.
Hmmm...why would he think he was eating seagull... Did the captain ever knowingly eat his men? Was the captain hallucinating and mistook his men for a flock of seagulls?
This is getting silly...many versions would have awarded Mrs. Jeff. I guess I no longer now DaDakota's answer. So, now that logic is tossed aside as we make it a guessing game, here are my guesses: Did the Captain's wake up from a big hurricane to find himself shipwrecked on a deserted island with two amputated legs and a missing dick? but one lost surviving crew member had some nice barbecued "seagull" for him. If not that: Did the Captain have a beloved parrot that was missing?
that's like what i said. so ha, i got the wrong answer way before you. i like your new answer though.
We have a WINNER !!!!!!!!!! Good job everyone, I have another one I will do another time if you guys liked this one. Fadeaway, email me and I will fed Ex a copy of our game. DaDakota
Damn...so the only detail that was missing was that it was natives that served him his crew? Bah, answer should have been revealed earlier. So, what exactly did the West Coast thing have to do with anything?
Thanks to everyone who participated in this excercise in a good natured way. Was it fun, shall I do it again? Good job to everyone !!! Please, no whining..it was a team effort. DaDakota
