So your entire opinion is based on one game where Sheppard played 18 minutes and the Rockets won by 13.

    You truly are brilliant.

No my basis is my pre draft scouting where I said teams will target him on switches
and bury him down low and pin him under the rim.

I noted how players breezed by him in the college level where Reed tries to reach
from behind and steal the ball or punch it loose. That might work in college or the
G-league but in the NBA they will call him for the foul.

I said him having to guard bigger players down low would effect his shot because much
of shooting comes from our base of support.....the legs.

If you notice, NBA players are getting into their motion as they are catching the ball. Reed
is too slow at getting a beat on where the rim is to then loading up and release. The window
in college and G-league just feel like a year and a day but in the NBA it's just a day.

I noted all of this pre draft so why don't you let those of us who know basketball continue
talking about basketball while you go back to upside down world Wimp-lo.
The guy purposely taught wrong. He is clearly not ready for the NBA. Not even close.

So you pre-judged him and despite the numbers disagreeing with your pre-judgement, you are sticking to it and cherry picking a single example in order to say you were right.

You really are one of the best posters here.

    It will be Reed.

Sure, maybe--but I don't think it will be this season, maybe not next season either (depends on his level of improvement). He looks really lost out there and like he needs a lot more reps in scrimmages, maybe some more G-League time, and some work on speeding up the release on his jump shot. I still think he has a real shot at being a good NBA player, but I don't see him as a playoff contributor this year at the very least. So a Lonzo Ball rental or whatever doesn't really have much to do with Reed. If it were like, Jose Alvarado, a guy under contract next season--well, we'll just have to see, but I think it's possible in that type of scenario they could let FVV walk in free agency, start Alvarado, and have Reed back him up.

You guys are clueless. Our starting backcourt next year is Amen and Jalen or FVV and Jalen with Amen starting at SF. Reed or some journeyman like Alvarado aren't even in the conversation.

Reed definitely needs some on-ball backup minutes next season or that’s gonna be extremely disappointing for our #3 pick. If Reed’s still on the roster he’s definitely in the backcourt rotation next yr. Not sure why anyone would assume otherwise.

Ty Jerome is a free agent this summer…

Drop FVV. Start Amen. Sign Jerome off the bench until Reed gets his **** together

There's no reason to start our best forward at PG when FVV is an option. It would be best if Ime would play Sheppard so that he can be ready for a larger role next season, but that's just not the kind of coach he is.

There's definitely not a reason to bring in a 28 year old backup SG to compete for PG minutes.

You continue to show why you are the dumbest poster here.

Having a 75% DRtg near the rim is substantial.

It's a copy cat league.......where I called it that teams would pick on him, back in summer league
and preseason. Most coaches in the NBA have a slower mentality towards basketball than I.

It's just common sense, a guy like Miles Bridges is a tough assignment for most PF's.....
No shame in saying the news paper boy can't handle a man near the basket.
Only common sense. Udoka recognized it in pre season when he said, we know
he has defensive weaknesses.....but we hope the players surrounding him
    can cover those flaws.

Well they can't. As much as you want him to, he can't. It's different than
when Jalen Green was a rookie......because we were tanking. Now we
want to win every game. Only knuckleheads like yourself who want to
sabotage this team are insisting a weakling like Reed play.

To get abused in those 10 minutes he plays. If he didn't show improvement
through 14 games in November and 9 games in December, then you pull the
cord and eject (the dead weight). Try again next year.

....and your little dog about Pre judging, you can stick it. Everyone
evaluating a player in the draft is. "Pre Judging".

And those that get it right like me.....can "Pre Judge"

I'm also the that said TyTy Washington sucks.
    and
    SCOOT Henderson would struggle
    and
    Chet would be injury prone
    and that
    Zion would have weight issues.....
I compared him to Marcus Russell (QB for the Raiders.
someone replied, DeMarcus Russell or Jamar is Russell.....yeah that guy (my reply)

LOL probably, but his play is nowhere near what it was here and he'd have to be better than that to be in consideration. He's gotta get a lot better in a hurry our he'll be out of the league.

LOL, you nailed it! He doesn't have a future as a center!

It's like you aren't even trying.

Anyway, laughing at you has been fun, but I don't want to further encourage you to keep derping up this thread with your idiocy.

    Have a good day killer.

I could do this all day. Keep running your mouth sunshine.

I don't ask Tiny Tim Reed to play Center.....just guard some in Switch Defense.

You know Switch Defense.....it's kinda a big thing nowadays in the NBA.
And if he is allowing more points than he is bringing in.....then it's an easy call.

FVV did his job but no need for a 6’0 point guard when Amen will be guarding guys like Shai anyway. Push Amen to point. SF will reserved for Tari or Cam most likely

I don’t want to pay FVV 20+mil to start. I’d rather see how cheap we can get the 6’5 shooter off the bench for and push Amen, Green, Sengun as the ball handlers next season. FVV ain’t big enough to be the 3&D type guy we need him to be going forward

So you play your best SF as a PG and just go without a PG. Interesting.

I mean, you can do it just to say you did it, but it won't be for the best interest of the team...or Amen. It's kind of hard to be in the dunker spot when you have to play the point.....plus the issue of his inability to space the floor is a bigger problem if he's pretending to be a PG.

Who he is defending is irrelevant, the issues come on offense.

Those who build teams based on height seem to be bringing a video game mentality to the real world and I'm just not sure that's how you do things if you want to win.

This team is nowhere near where it is right now if the go the route of not playing a real PG at all as you are suggesting.

Sadly, he was supposed to be our backup point guard and you’d expect that he could hold that role from the 3rd pick in the draft.

And this is why Ime doesn't want Sheppard to log any more minutes in the G League, he wants people to think that his ridiculous decision to not give him any playing time is based on ability rather than just his whim.....and if he actually logs minutes anywhere, it'll be obvious that isn't the case.

For someone who thought KPJ was the franchise point you seem to be stuck on Amen as a SF as if he didn’t get drafted as possible point

Between Amen, Green, Sengun we shouldn’t need a true point. FVV been great but after this year he shouldn’t be starting. I would love this next season.

    Amen / Reed / Jerome
    Green / Jerome
    Tari / Cam
    Jabari / Brooks
    Sengun / Adams
