That zone would get eaten alive by Jabari. This team just needs health. If Reed becomes a 10m contributor that'd be a bonus.

Brogdon and Ball are prime buyout candidates post-deadline.

I’d prioritize adding a backup C (or just better utilization of Jock’s roster spot) and/or shooters, regardless of position.

I sat behind the bench at the Detroit game (ugh), noticed Reed's at least two inches taller than Aaron. Still holding out hope for Reed to get stronger, beefier, quicker, faster, more confident-- to actually play 2" taller than Aaron. Right now it's sorta the other way around. I know Reed should be a college sophomore, has had limited minutes, and maybe I'm being impatient; but we need him to be #3 pick-worthy already.

Sounds about right. Aaron Holiday is 6 ft flat. Reed was measured a quarter inch under 6'2

Reed is a defensive liability....he will be targeted every minute he is out there.

Jabari is comfortable shooting 5 (3's) a game. If Jabari is 40% that's less than
6 points the opposition has to overcome. Teams don't worry about that breaking them.

Thunder have about 7 players shooting 38% or better from 3.
Cavs have about 5 players shooting about 40% from 3.

The numbers don't support your narrative... but I'm sure you can explain what I am very sure is a solid reason to ignore objective reality.... like saying that a PG is not a SF and instead is PG sized.

Ime would have to choose to play him for that to happen. Can't do much from the bench... and Ime doesnt want him playing down in RGV anymore making his decision look even more foolish.

I keep posting this but I think some are just biased and get hyperfocused on a narrative.

If Reed was a bit better offensively he'd still be getting minutes. Holiday at the age of 28 has barely been better in the same amount of games, roughly the same amount of minutes. Reed has been a better and more impactful defender than Holiday during his time on the floor according to the eye test and by statistics and that is even with him being "picked on".

Definitely wish that Shepherd was playing instead of Holiday. Even if it did net an extra loss or two I think it would be beneficial.

the kid is way too good for the G league. But you can tell he is tight when he is playing at NBA speed. Get him four minutes per quarter 15 to 20 minutes. A game will help him acclimate.

You don't want to learn so I don't want continue teaching you.

Read my other posts which explains everything.

    From Rockets:
    24th in half court offense
One of the worst 3-point shooting teams

Rockets doing it with smoke and mirrors by:
Being tops in so many other stats like
    Offensive rebounds
    Second chance points
    causing turnovers
    Deflections
    Transition points
    Defense rating
    Defensive efficiency
    Etc
    Etc

So yes the stats do back it up

Force the Rockets into being a half court offense (where they rank poorly)
and the Rockets struggle. Bringing in another below average 3-oit shooting
PG is bringing in another chump o drive against a packed paint and have the
ball punched away or fumbled to the tune of 6 turnovers or rmore.

Lol I notice you lost no numbers related to Sheppard, then say the numbers back you up.... did you think that would work?

Sheppard is garbage.....I'll let you chase your tail looking up his college and G-league insignificant stats.

Here is Rockets 24th in offense after made basket

Not beating the good teams with that......not even by BRINGING IN A NEW PG

I watch the games....i have the ability to watch the players without the ball.

I easily see bigger players force Reed Sheppard in a switch and then pin
    Reed under the rim.

What stats are you going to read? Guys leaving their man to help Sheppard? DRtg?
Just like guys (Tari, Amen, Jabari helping flank Sengun and making him look better
than he is defensively....or Jalen Green.

You can't hide Reed getting pinned under rim. Ime saw it just like I did.... unplayable
    except in garbage time.

    Cont'd from post #94

    @Bobbythegreat

    Reed Sheppard (24/25) DFG%
Nov (Reed played in 14 games)
    <6 ft........50.0%
    <10 ft......42.9%

Dec (Reed played in 9 games)
    <6 ft.........61.5%
    <10 ft......56.3%

Jan (Reed played in 2 games)
    <6ft..........66.7%
    <10 ft.......66.7%

Getting worse and worse because teams are developing a scouting report.

In last 14 Rockets games (minus tonight)......Reed has played in 4 games.
    <6 ft..........75.0%
    <10 ft.......75.0%

Or... you know, if you were someone who knew what you were looking at, maybe you'd realize the numbers got worse because the first numbers are normal rotation numbers and the rest are small sample garbage time minutes.

One of these days you'll stop embarrassing yourself, but it seems it won't be today

Looks like me and Ime are on the same page......your the dumb@$$ outside looking in.

I can tell you the exact game it happened, Charlotte Hornets where Reed played about 16-18 minutes
and the Hornets kept forcing a switch of Miles Bridges against Reed Sheppard.
Bridges was abusing Reed 10 ways to Sunday and pinning him under the rim time
    and time again.

Reed had to keep fouling. Got 3 fouls during those exchanges. I remember saying to myself
UDOKA, you better get Reed out. Since then Reed has played about 4 games and went from
averaging 17 minutes a game to the big drop off of about 6 minutes a game.

Reed wouldn't last two minutes in the playoffs without being targeted and abused....giving
up more than 80% at the rim against the better teams coached well.

Nah. Just keep our assets and hold tight for Reed.

Learn the lesson, stay the course.

While I am with you, its pretty clear FVV won't be bailing us out every single game.

We need a dead eye shooter and Adams insurance.

For 3rd stringers, you are going to have a hard time upgrading Holiday and Jock.
