Morey and Alexander giving McHale a new contract is not looking very bright as of late. The team got off to good start with injured players and all but it's a long season and right now all eyes should be focused on McHale. There's nothing wrong with losing to the same team 4 times in a season, it happens, but to get blown out in all 4 games and no signs of adjustments is a coaching problem. Beverley needs to go back to the bench and give Canann a chance to start. Josh Smith is not to blame; after all they got him on the cheap but Howard is killing this team with his lack of enthusiasm and that left hook of his. Nobody, I mean nobody fears this team's inside game. The whole team has declined and I don't think it's a chemistry thing or Josh Smith's fault. Coaching is the root of the problem. I would like to see JB Bickerstaff get promoted to head coach next season or the team and fans will have to endure 3 more years of mediocrity with this type of "Player's Coach".
Memo to McHale, how about cutting down the 3 Pt shots attempts in half.

So glad you stated a thread instead of posting in the two giant threads (Fire McHale and the 3 Year Extension thread).

Of course I do. Would Alexander want to lose all that money he just gave him is the question.

Please cite a situation where Les has done that - ever.

IIRC all he has ever done is not renew people.

Rudy, JVG, Adelman....he has never fired anyone.

Les and Daryl have a full staff analyzing the team and packaging information to make the best decisions. This most likely includes taking a look at coaches that are available.

You are seeing the product - which is mostly constructed by the TEAM itself, not the coach. The coach doesn't make or break the team... the players have to be competent as well. Not only that, they have to exert the effort and dedication to create winning basketball. Upon all of that, they have to be able to do a lot of this in conjunction. So many moving parts (internal and EXTERNAL) and you point to the coach for all the blame ?

I forgot to replace shampoo and had to wash my hair with soap this morning. It feels weird and gross.

I am soooo freakin sick of people saying "It's not the coaches fault if the ball doesn't go in..." "It's not McHales fault, it's the players on the court..." blah blah blah...

    BULL!

If the players look lost or uninspired, then either A) the coach hasn't prepared them properly or B) it's the coachs responsibility to put em on the bench!

McHale has on rare occasion brought the hammer down - but not NEARLY enough!

If the player's aren't running the plays that the coach has called - then it's his responsibility to take care of matters...

When all we run is iso ball with no real gameplan (or consequences if the plan isn't followed...) - THAT IS ON MCFAIL!

I've always liked McHale... seems like a good guy, but the dude has no business being a coach... he has shown little to no ability to gameplan, make adjustments, or hold people accountable....
