Come on guys, you got to give the guy some credit for the effort of 1) scanning through this forum and 2) translating it into Chinese. BTW, I wonder what this guy's user name on this forum???
Ok, first and foremost, anyone here can attest the fact that because of the language barrier it isn't as easy to validate and confirm Chinese web sites. Secondly, dude you care far too much about it. I'm entitled to my own opinion and if you can't support your own without insulting me, then you're argument bares no weight. I'm sorry but I don't trust Chinese web sites. Ok, if it were Sports Illustrated China, Time China, Life China, whatever, if it is an established news media outlet here in the states that has it's own Chinese satellite office then I would take it as the Gospel but seeing as how most of these websites that are referenced aren't, I won't go near them. I don't think anyone who trusts them is an idiot, I just am not so quick to believe. Plus, isn't the most reliable set of sources and the most logical set of sources for the NBA in the United States going to be an American web site? But oh no, I can't say that can't I?
There are tons of news that are interesting and people here want to read that originated from the Chinese source and originally reported from sources over there. If you do not like being called an idiot, maybe I should call you a selfish brat to advocate all the Chinese source have to be banned. Yeah, the reason is that you, Pissa_Da_Hut, could find 0.01% of the information wrong ,and therefore choose not to trust the other 99.99% of the information, and therefore everyone else on this site can't read it. Many people here are not idiots and they would like to read news from the Chinese source that you otherwise cannot find here. Shall I try to make myself even more clear on this for you?
umm... even in america there are untrustworhy sites. sites that you can make it and write some some bs info. there are also many chinese sites that are not trustworthy. i agree that not all chinese sites should be banned, but in my opinion. you should ban all sites until it is proven trustworthy like sina, than you unban. and .01% is not even close. there is atleast 25% sites that are not true in America, and to think the amount in china that doesn't live anywhere close to a nba team and don't have any great connection, you could say there is more than 50%.
I agree it's fair to ban those sites that have given false information before. I know a few sites, Chinese or not, have been banned here because of that reason. What set me off is that the guy advocated we should ban all Chinese sites so no one can read anything from the Chinese source from now on. Can anyone get even more selfish than that? Our moderators have been doing a great job to decide what source of information can be posted on this board here. We should not get in their way and try to influence what they have to do. We should not try to moderate this board when we don't have either the expertise, the experience and the authority to do that.
Actually this is different, usually it's sites that get banned for coming up with BS all by themselves and then someone posts it here. This time it's someone posting BS on this site, a news website picking it up and stating it as fact coming back to us and getting reposted here as an official story. Then we find out that it started with one of us. LOL Now if that doesn't strike one as funny he doesn't have any humor. Can you not see the irony of the entire situation?
Clutch has banned american sites that are full of crap. I can't remember the name, but if you try to post a link to an article from that site the forum filter will block it. And I think MacFu is the guy who wrote the article, just sayin', just my silly opinion which will be an article one some random Chinese website tomorrow.
it's funny if you know the whole situation. what about the other chinese readers that don't go to this forum? the person apparently (i'm not chinese, i'm getting this off the post that some of the chinese posters written) didn't write anything that said the info was false. and he didn't put a source. now, what i don't get is, how in the world do you not read the posts after that? or did he just read the word sarcasm, and not know what it meant, and just left it like that? i'm not sure, but whatever.
no, those sites trawl the net for rumors for their breaking news... re: the fake article. the chron mentioned francis finishing up on some rehabbing in arizona not too long ago.
Didn't I make that topic 2 weeks ago about the Steve Francis sighting in New Orleans. He didn't look any different than the beginning of the season, people. He's doing a great job staying in shape.
Damn. There are some lazy ass journnalists in China trying to earn a living by simply being a copycat. What a shame!!!
yeah and if ya think about it. This is like payback for all those bogus articles ever posted here from Hoopsworld. How's do ya like your story now sports163.com China? LOL
i love steve franchise...BUT are we really counting on him to carry this team next season??? so big deal he weights 250 pounds
