How bout you EDIT my EDIT or shut the EDIT up.

Little b*stard just starting random **** with people...

Why don't you just go join the r****dcity.net bbs, they'll like you better over there. No backup should be needed to call you a r****d in this case. This is a Rockets site, everybody here knows all the details and I would assume that if you are a registered member that you would too, but you just seem to want to start crap, so I'm done talking to you for now.

1983 76ers, the year moses took them to the title. they had it won before the playoffs started. everyone on every team KNEW that the sixers would win that year. no team ever went through the playoffs with more dominance.

Real significant post here. I think I lost brain cells just by reading it, let alone reply. Yet I'm the r****d here...

Even as the originator of the post I agree with MFW that personal attacks cause BBS's to suck. My point was that "one could argue that" the '95 Rockets were one of the greatest. Implicit in that statement is that one could argue that they were not (as many do). What fun would it be if everyone just said "yep, that's right!"

I think everybody else is doing a fine job of justifying the '95 Rockets. It's just fun calling you a r****d...:D

...though I do retract my statement about TroyBaros...he kept up his r****dedness for almost a whole offseason. I'm sure a few more gems like the ones you've upchucked in this thread will pull you pretty close, though...

In which case the feeling's mutual. You can call the 95 Spurs a good team but they are nowhere as good as the great teams and they are a team that we just happen to beat.

As I've said we are a good and perhaps a very good playoff team, nowhere great though.

Although I agree with Jiggy's statement that we were an underrated team.

Why don't you defend your statement about the Rockets being "one of the only championship teams that never faced any serious competition".

I'd like to know what great competition the Bulls faced in any given year, that the Rockets did not.

The Bulls beat the former two time champion for their first championship, and they beat the Seattle team that the Rockets could NEVER beat. Other than that the only other time I thought the Bulls would lose, was against the Suns, but the Rockets beat that Suns team.

The Blazers team with Drexler was also pretty good, probably better than any of the teams the 95 Rockets defeated, but I won't argue that.

Um, first Bulls championship contended with the Lakers, which was in decline, but can still give you a run for your money. Basically replacing the Pistons. Last 3 Bulls championships competed with the Jazz, which instead of just making the playoffs now made the finals. Now I'm just using the Jazz since all of you thought they were competition. I wouldn't have actually included them here.

Btw, does it make any sense that you qualify the Rox as competition but not actually consider them competition for the Bulls? Does that make sense?

What I find funny is that we had a better cast of players after MJ fully came back in 96 yet COULDN'T win. Explain that.

And in other news, basketball knowledge, opinion based, is not closely related to intelligence.

U see, u finally slipped, letting everyone in the BBS know your silliness. Nobody even mentions the team of Hakeem, Clyde, and Barkley that much beacause they didnt accomplish anything (which they would have if not for the shot:( )
anyways, the 95 team had better chemistry than the later Rocket teams could only dream of, teams that started Matt Maloney and B. Drew.......
Thats why everyone talks about the 95 team, they had the fast break to match Phoenix, the D to match SA, the guts and heart to outlast Utah on the road and veterans to beat up on the young Magic.
And for u to mention that the later cast is better than the 95 Rockets is just silly....

    82 sixers were pretty good.

Former 2-time champion from 3 years prior. Magic and just about the entire LA starting lineup also got hurt in that series.

So Seattle is this "serious competition" the Rockets never faced?

So Portland is "serious competition"? Probably only when the Bulls play them though.

I didn't think that statement needed backing up.
