    Welcome TJ...

That was fun to watch, again. Nice to remember what that felt like those 2 great years. I had forgottem myself how truly awesome Hakeem was.

That year the rockets owned the 1st and 3rd picks in the draft getting Ralph Sampson and Rodney McCray. You can't really blame them for having such high picks and using them on the most highly regarded players at that time. Sampson was a monster for a few seasons till his knee started up and we traded him. I'm pretty sure McCray was traded as well... But Clyde Drexler was taken with the 14th pick. It would of been the eqivlent if the Cavs or the Nuggets used their picks on Luke Ridnour.

i hope some of those yao only fans that bashed hakeem in the hakeem vs yao thread watched this game. some of them said hakeem didnt have an outside shot. if they watched this game, they would have seen him hitting 15-18ft jumpers all day

Ok, let me see if I'm understanding you correctly. You're saying that Ridnour, with his broken pelvis, was an equivalant player to Drexler coming out of college. C'mon you don't really beleive that, do you? Or that McCray was a better college player than Drexler?

----------------Min FG% FT% RPG APG TPG BPG SPG PPG
    McCray:
    82-83 Louisville 33.3 58.7 74.2 8.4 3.4 2.0 0.8 1.1 11.0
    Drexler:
    82-83 Houston 34.9 53.6 73.7 8.8 3.8 2.7 0.5 3.3 15.9

I will always think that passing on Drexler was a mistake, as was passing on Lewis.
