I was just on a Sports simulation web site: http://www.whatifsports.com And just for fun I simulated the 94 & 95 Championships with Jordan's Bulls instead of the Knicks & Magic... 1994 NBA Finals Game 1 @ Chicago 93-94 Houston Rockets 119 92-93 Chicago Bulls 106 Houston 1-0 Game 2 @ Chicago 93-94 Houston Rockets 100 92-93 Chicago Bulls 117 Tied 1-1 Game 3 @ Houston 93-94 Houston Rockets 112 92-93 Chicago Bulls 93 Houston 2-1 Game 4 @ Houston 93-94 Houston Rockets 88 92-93 Chicago Bulls 102 Tied 2-2 Game 5 @ Houston 93-94 Houston Rockets 91 92-93 Chicago Bulls 81 Houston 3-2 Game 6 @ Chicago 93-94 Houston Rockets 98 92-93 Chicago Bulls 93 Houston Wins 4-2!!! Case closed! And because it is the LOCKOUT / Offseason and a combination of bored + Love my Rockets: 1995 NBA Finals ( If Jordan & Bulls were good enough to make it, which they weren't btw) Game 1 @ Houston Houston 107 Chicago 82 Hou 1-0 Game 2 @ Houston Houston 105 Chicago 118 Tied 1-1 Game 3 @ Chicago Houston 120 Chicago 108 Hou 2-1 Game 4 @ Chicago Houston 126 Chicago 91 Hou 3-1 Game 5 @ Chicago Houston 89 Chicago 103 Hou 3-2 Game 6 @ Houston Houston 122 Chicago 106 Houston wins 4-2!!! Case Closed, again! BACK to BACK!!! Can't mess with success, Heart of a Champion Baby! So for all who say that our Championships were tainted...in the words of the great Sam Cassell: " Two Years, Two Rings!"
Yup, the NBA should just remove playoffs, since the best team in the regular season is the best team, just like all the European soccer leagues. Or have the 1st seed losing to 4th or 5th or even 8th, which one you prefer?
I already know the results of Jordan with the Bulls vs Rockets for the second Rockets Championship. First Bulls lose To Shaq in conference Semi Finals. Then Rockets Sweep Magic.
That's awesome! BUT... try o use this simulation to argue against the Jordan lover (and every casual fan out there that know nothing but JOrdan about the 90's). They'll jsut say "it's a simulation, doesn't mean anything". We'll never convince the naysayers. NEVER! Sad but true.
PLAYOFFS MAN! Sometimes injuries and luck can determine the best record in regular season, and if you play in the Leastern conference it would be easier than playing in the Bestern conference. Best of Seven series is for men, not boys!
I am a die-hard Rockets / BBall fan...and I say...It's just a simualtion and doesn't mean anything. It's cool, fun, and for entertainment purposes only. No matter if Jordan would have went on his baseball hiatus or not, our championships would have been in question because the naysayers would say,"well MJ was still grieving for the loss of his father." I have come to terms with the notion that our championships are tainted long ago. And the way I see it, we beat the best that was there. While MJ was a great player, I don't think he ahd the impact on a game the way Dream did. I believe the Rockets would have won over the Bulls.
And who is he that wishes so? My fellow 99er Tinman? No, my fair poster; If we are mark'd to remember, we are enough To do our Rockets justice; and if we remember, The fewer men, the greater share of honour. God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man (and the occasional female poster) more; By Jove, I am not covetous for media reputation, Nor care I who doth feed upon the image of MJ; It yearns me not if men wear Bull's jerseys; Such outward things dwell not in my desires. But if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my poster, wish not another Rocket's fan. God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour As one man more methinks would share from me For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more! Rather proclaim it, Tinman, through Clutchfans, That he which hath no stomach to this fight, Let him depart; his account shall be banned, And means made for him to join a Bull's board; We would not post in that man's company That fears his fellowship to post with us. Those days were call'd the feats of Dream. He that cherishes those days, and remembers, Will stand a tip-toe when those days are nam'd, And rouse him at the name of Dream. He that shall honor those days, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say 'The Finals, it is Dream's time of year' Then will he boot his PC and show his videos, And say 'These plays I saw in Dream's time.' NBA fans forget; yet all shall be forgot, But we'll remember, with advantages, What feats Dream did those days. Then shall our names, Familiar on Clutchfans as household words- Clutch the King, DaDakota and Moe, Sam and BimaThug, Rockets2k and Jeff- Be in their beer mugs freshly rememb'red. This story shall we good men teach to sons (assuming nerds can find a mate); And Dream's Dream shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we who witness shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers (and the occasional female poster); For he to-day that remembers with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, The championships shall gentle his condition; And basketball fans now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That gazed upon the Rocket's play.
