Watching the 93 Slamdunk contest on ESPN Classic. Wow, Spoon had some unbelievable leaping ability back then. Harold Miner was spectacular--too bad he washed out so quickly.

they're showing the 95 dunk contest now which also featured Minor. I didn't know he lasted that long in the league. Man the dunk contest used to have some scrubs. this one features J.R. Rider but not the one he won.

Poor Man's Charles Barkley. I don't even know if he can dunk anymore.

I knew he used to have hops, but I forgot ALL about this performance. Very impressive.

The 2000 Slam Dunk contest is on now. This is my all-time favorite so far. Vince Carter, T-Mac, and Stevie put on a great show that year.

Amazing what Francis and McGrady did in the 2000 Dunk comp. Like scoring 89 and 91 points the night Wilt dropped 100.

I remeber watching that one at work living in San Diego. I was the only guy cheering on Stevie. But eveyrone was so impressed that he had the highest vertical leap out of the entire competition. If he was taller, he would of won,

They played those things all day. I never knew Kenny Smith was so athletic back then. He held his own in the slam dunk contest, not to metion the 3 point shootout the same day. That had to be exhausting

Its funny, people don't know why Kenny's nick name is The Jet. He also used to have a Nike commercial with super dave.
