My buddy and I went to this show. There was some d-bag who was getting physical with him in the pit. It was like a scene in a movie; they had a tense standoff and the entire pit stopped (I'm pretty sure the band was watching too) and after ten long seconds my buddy threw up the devil horn hands and screamed and the pit went back to moshing with everyone laughing. It was especially funny for us because my buddy was a gold-glove boxer and would have demolished the other guy. He always took the high road.

I am an old-time KTRU DJ and went to a lot of shows back in that era. I was headed out of radio by the mid-1990's or so but oh god was it ever fun. I was about to post Austin's Nice Strong Arm in here (so brief, so underrated), but they were really late 1980's! (at least what I can find.)
