    Sorry.

Ok we won with 1-0. not the best game we ever played, but it is a win, van basten is now 13 games not beaten(his first 13). We played better against germany. I think we are almost certain qualified for the wc in germany(last time we played a major tournament in germany we did pretty good:D)

plcmts, just read your email. Thanks for that.

EVERYONE, With whom will you watch this or any other soccer game (including non-qualifiers) today? Next time we will list all qualifier games on the same thread, shall we, leroy420? It would be good for the soccer community not just in this bbs but everywhere else.
    --------------

Mexico all the way fo sho. Sadly I'll be on my way to Atx while the game is going on but I have utmost confidence in my boys. It won't be a smashing vicotry, just a simple 1 or 2 goal victory.

    Yeaaaaah!

Holland almost certain of qualification. It could still be lost, but frankly if we don't qualify now we really don't deserve it. Even the match against the Czech Republic can be lost and we can still end up as group winners. Good situation to be in, definitely. I really hope we don't mess it up!

I also can't believe how badly England is doing. Well, that's a wrong choice of words. I blame the manager. It's been too long and he is sooo boring. There really is no passion from this guy. I think the only reason he is still there is because of his fat contract.

After careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that the US will win 234-0. But, Eddie Johnson will be held to under 75 goals.

SlowLy, I learn to speak english beacuse, I have a lot of family in the US (Houston, Dallas, Ohio, Orlando, Atlanta, etc) because my grandparents born there, but my parents born here and I born here too. (but my english is not perfect, sorry) and SlowLy, how can you write the "Ñ" in US keyboards that letter doesnt exist.

I hate this guy Landon Donovan, because he is a very classless person, first in a game in Guadalajara ( i think was last year) he peed on the grass in the field, disgusting and very classless

And now, he (donovan) said on an interview that he thinks the mexicans are miserables and Mexico is jealous of the US for the US soccer abilties, and he said that the mexicans players has no life.
Here is the link but is in Spanish.

Pretty good game so far, I have to say it's been pretty even. Your typical game from Mexico vs USA. It ain't pretty, but entertaining nonetheless.

    We're going to Germany!!!

david_rocket - If you read the actual interview of Donavan instead of the biased translation it's not as bad. The reporter that translated it wanted to make him look bad. Also, if you think he is classless how do you feel about a player (O. Sanchez) that insults somebody's mother in an interview?

Here's the english version of the interview.

That's f***ed up. BIG time! Personal attacks should not spill over to one's family. There's no excuse. I thought what I said earlier in this thread was uncalled for, but this takes the cake. I'm glad the U.S. beat them.

    EE UU 4 Eva!!

I think all the Mexican fans should change their sig to this:

"USA to World Cup, and Mexico goes home, and all I got was this lousy sig."

dang, that's just plain sick to tell someone you're going to kill their mother. Which made this seem a lot better. Basically, after losing, this is the quote gotten from Ricardo Lavolpe, their coach:

"The U.S. is a small team. They play like my sister, my aunt and my grandmother."

Considering they just got shut out 2-0. what does that exactly made them?
