    Those things may be of more use. But are they sufficient to give the entire picture of what the problem is? Can you say for certain that racial attitudes (between black and white) plays no role? Maybe it does, and that would be important, but we wouldn't know it if we purposely avoided analyzing these crime stats on the basis of race. Or maybe there is some other factor which correlates highly with race but not so much poverty which turns out to be very important. By only focusing on certain selected factors and ignoring race, maybe we miss such a thing.

    Nah I wasn't talking about you with that. Just that I've seen it thrown around here and some have blatantly used those stats to imply that black people are more violent. I guess I was just quoting you and going off of that and not really trying to engage because I was agreeing generally with what you said.
