I can't believe Heath Ledger didn't show up to accept his award.

I thought Dark Knight should have won too.

You can say that even though you haven't seen at least 4 of the nominated films?

Yeah, I just don't get Sean Penn, he's an activist and he loves to shove it in people's faces. Who made him the martyr for gay rights? He's still just an ******* actor like everyone else.

I think The Wrestler and The Dark Knight both were fabulous films that got somehow got outshined by Brad Pitt's CGI wrinkles.

I still cannot believe Crash won Best Picture in 05.

****ing Ludacris had a part in the movie that won best picture. LUDACRIS.

Every other movie nominated was better.

    I liked this year's Oscars.

I was happy that Heath Ledger and Kate Winslet won even though I haven't seen The Reader. Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actresses. She is always looking elegant!! I have Changeling at home and I'll watch it if Angeline Jolie got robbed. I've always thought Meryl Street as a fine actress, hence her many Oscar nominations.

I have not watched any of films for best actor so I can't really judge if they made a good choice with Sean Penn.

God, Sophia Loren did not look that beautiful like she usually does. What happened to her???

The Reader is a great movie, very touching. Kate Winslet totally deserved the award with her remarkable acting.

For the first time in - well, ever, I thought the format of the show was fairly entertaining. For whatever reason, I liked the way they did best actor/actress - even though it became painfully obvious that the mix featured some that were out of their league compared to the company.

And Jackman's opening act was pretty amusing.

I think Angelina Jolie post-Tomb Raider, basically this entire decade, is an overrated hag. She's got the Kobe Bryant grip on everyone's conscience. She's good but its like if you do the right thing and consider her the best, tear gas will eminate from the TV and set you straight.

Kate Winslet any day of the week over that douchehag

I'm shocked that people are shocked by films that win the Academy. It's rare that the best films are actually even nominated let alone the winners.

That being said Crash was a great film, and possibly worthy. Suprisingly Ludacris was very competent in his role in that film.

The film explored an issue that has been explored a million different times. But Crash explored it in a very different way. It explored the subtleties and complexities behind it, and the characters all had their own weaknesses, strengths, and contradictions.

Munich certainly wasn't a better film. Good Night and Good Luck was great, but probably not better, and not as innovative. Capote was also great, but based more on a single performance rather than an ensemble as far as the whole film goes.

Brokeback wasn't better, but perhaps more groundbreaking.

I think of the pictures nominated that year Crash was the best.

That being said the Academy almost never nominates the best films, and almost never votes for the one that should win.

I loved Crash, it was one of those movies that made you think well after the movie was over.

All Crash did with the race issue was have have different kinds of people collide into each others lives by all kinds of crazy coincidences. It was like a Guy Ritchie movie, minus the entertainment and British gangsters.
