Yeah dude, Sophia Loren. People get old and in hollywood some get plastics. Nonetheless she's still one of the hottest ever in my book. Also Mickey Rourke got Robbed and as much as I love Kate Winslet- Much love for Berkshire- I thought Angelina Jolie or Meryl Streep deserved the award. I just saw the Reader last night and as awesome as it is seeing Ms. Kate naked, I didn't think her performance in that was better than in Revolutionary Road.
funny story, i was talking to Kam during that score, in the beginning, I told him, "wanna bet they DONT sing a HSM song", 2 seconds later, Zanessa showed up, I was thinking that chick to the left of Beyonce going down the stairs was HOT but didn't realize it was her until she sang with Zac btw, what the hell was Jolie wearing? Was she scared Superman was after her?
This is where Kirk Lazarus comes in (not for the people that didn't find his Oscar logic funny) Spoiler "Now, instead of going full r****d, you can get your hands on an Oscar another way--playing a gay dude. But, naw, not just any gay dude...you gotta be full on gay. Tom Hanks? Philadelphia? Oscar. Sean Penn? Milk? Oscar. Now of course, you're thinking, 'What about Heath? Wasn't he gay in Brokeback?' He was but that dude was on the fences about it. 'Should I bang Jake or not? Should I bang Michelle Williams..or not?' He was confused as a mother *****er. God rest his soul. That boy had me creeped out when he played the Joker. Helluva performance"
VSTEXAS dude what is your malfunction? JK Slumdog was a good movie but i didnt get to watch the wrestler, benjamin button, or milk.
Maybe Rourke did deserve it. I haven't seen either movie. And I agree that Penn is probably an *******. But an ******* of the "highest degree?" That's pretty silly. He's a celebrity. Pretty much all of them are assholes. And pretty much none of them are assholes of the "highest" degree. Penn's not even as big of an ******* as, say, Simon Cowell. And neither of those guys have been, to the best of my knowledge, responsible for anyone's death or torture. Or discrimination. I can understand being bothered by Penn's outspokenness. Celebrity ought not to confer special powers to him. But, on the flip side, it ought not mean that he needs to keep his opinions to himself any more than you or I do. We are in America, after all. I can also understand being bothered by his meetings with Chavez or whatever, but there was nothing wrong with anything he said during his speech tonight. And not a single one of his known actions--including all his political stuff--has been more *******-ish than voting against equal rights for all Americans. So, for my money, there are many assholes of "higher" degrees than Sean Penn, including over half of the voting public in CA. His heart is in the right place even if he is sometimes arrogant and possessed of an inflated sense of self-importance. He's a good actor too. Hating on him is as silly as hating on Paris Hilton. Or Ryan Seacrest. Or Trader George.
Didn't Penn beat the crap out of Madonna? Wouldn't that put him pretty high up there on the ******* scale? or maybe one ******* beating up another ******* is not all that bad?
How the **** does Button win best Makeup, and best Effects. CG = makeup now? or did I miss something? They essentially won 2 awards for the exact same thing. Which is it? Makeup or Effect? (Yes, I'm on the Dark Knight should have won more awards bandwagon)
Dude, Sean Penn is a major league ******* for a host of reasons, and has admitted as much in his acceptance speech. Plus, I just think its stupid to listen to actors who think they know everything and are so damn sure that their voices just need to be heard because they think they are the most important people in the world, whether it be Mel Gibson, Sean Penn, Mr. T or whoever the hell. Thats what.
