80's Nostalgia

drox, did you used to go to Rich's on Thursday night?

Seriously, some of my best memories are from #'s and Rich's in the 80's.

I went to Numbers a few times. Never went to Rich's. I always heard great things about Rich's (even though it was a gay club, and I'm straight) but never went.

The club that I frequented was a place called Detour. My gal and I went there a LOT (Thurs., Fri, Sat., and Sun.). Anybody remember that place?

 

Thursday night, was "straight" night at Rich's. It's still the best dance club I've ever been to.

 

Are you talking about the one near The Men's club that was Network beforehand, or the other location that I barely remember?

Anyone recall Avalon and what it became after?

Or Xcess? Or 6400? Or Yucatan Liquor Stand? Or Lizard Lounge? Or Bayou Mama? Or Powertools?

 

Sadly, I remember all those...damn, i'm old...I remember numbers and detour...

 

The first location.

I remember Avalon. It was a more "formal" dance club. Very cool.

And, yeah, I remember all those places (although I was underage for much of it, I had a good fake ID).

Those were fantastic times!

I would remember more about all those late 80's early 90's dance clubs if I hadn't been having such a fantastic time.

I don't know why, but my brother annoyed me so much with his Nine Inch Nails that now I know a lot of their music.
