Oh wow! I think the T-Wolves got the better end but they had to swallow Cardinal's contract. I'm a Purdue guy and am proud of Cardinal, but I did a double-take when the Grizz gave him that contract. Maybe the T-Wolves will move Miller. He doesn't seem a good fit for their youth movement with no intention of winning now.
Uhhhh... what? This trade is essentially Mayo for Love and Mike Miller. Minny is getting a lot more talent back, the only really price they're paying is taking on Cardinal's contract.
It should be moved to the NBA Dish,but Mayo,Arthur (if he is healthy),Gay,Conley are nice players to hold on to for the future.
Very good summary. The Grizz forced the T-Wolves to take Cardinal's contract. In fact, a few weeks ago I think someone on the forum said they were insistent that whoever they traded Miller to would also have to take Cardinal.
Cardinal has 1 year left? or is it 2? It's hardly horrible though... McHale gets KLove after all! I'm thinking Love is going to stink in the NBA - but we'll see! Mind you, there's every chance Mayo stinks too... Then at least McHale picked up Miller I guess? Does this mean the Twolves now have a starting lineup Foye McCants Jefferson Love Miller ?
Garbage... I dont know why we didnt end up doing our trade with Memphis... Steve Francis, Bobby Jackson, Carl Landry (S&T), Nicolas Batum and 2009 1st Rounder for Mike Miller, Joe Alexander, Brian Cardinal. I also thought OJ Mayo, Antoine Walker, Marko Jaric and Greg Buckner was going to Miami for Shawn Marion and change but I guess Minny liked the package Memphis was offering. I smell Morey scrapping the Memphis trade because they were asking for Luis Scola and when Morey rejected, they went looking for another deal. I think we had a better offer than Minnesota, but I guess I might be underrating OJ Mayo.
Jaric's contract is worse that Cardinal's. I don't understand this trade from purely a cost cutting move.
Because that would be a horrible trade and Memphis would walk away smelling like a rose cause they gave us their crap.
Kevin Love's name is a great source for immature humor. For example, the kid better not gain weight while playing... otherwise he'd be known as Kevin Lovehandles.
