That's a good point. It does look pretty dark at night. I know the Reliant building has some sort of pulsating light on it which is pretty cool, but it's in the middle of downtown so you really can't see it unless you're downtown. The original Enron building has one too, but it hasn't been on since 2001.

The CenterPoint building has potential to look really cool at night, but I don't think there is anything on top of it except a gigantic white flood light. BORING. They should turn it red in honor of the Rockets.

It's a list, but they're not ranked. And actually, they just say it's 8 of the greatest skylines, not the 8 greatest.

Agreed, As much as I hate Pittsburgh, their skyline is awesome.

What is there to hate about Pittsburgh? Just curious. Most people I've talked to love it, but I've never been. I live about 2 and a half hours from there, and am contemplating going to school there in the future.(As soon as I'm able to go back)

    i agree,

    daytime: is nice
    nighttime: lame

in feb the chase tower has a solid red ring around the top (either for valentines or cancer awareness, i'm not really sure which). and, on the other side of dt, while one park place was being built there was a green light shot up from the ground on the front. those added nice color, but have since been removed.

the one thing the dallas skyline has going for it is the colorful buildings at night, though that's about all you can say for them.

Hmmm... some of those skylines are questionable. And like someone said, I don't think this is ranking them. Dubai's is going to be incredible when it's completed.

    Nice shot.

That's probably my favorite view. Coming right up Allen Parkway or Memorial. The contrast between all the green of Buffalo Bayou and the head-on view of the skyline is beautiful.

heading towards downtown from westpark tollway before hitting 59... fantastic view of all the major skylines in houston. galleria/uptown, greenway plaza, cbd, and med center... looks like a completely different city. people forget how big houston is because it's so spread out, but when you can capture most of the major structures all from one perspective it's pretty damn impressive.

surprised this hasn't turned into a city vs city war yet.
