I just have to say. . . did anyone else find themselves completely floored to find out that the blonde Brittany Murphy hottie in this movie is the same brunette, slightly chubby Brittany Murphy rags-to-riches Tai from Clueless? I still can't make myself believe it no matter how much I know it to be true. also, according to Rolling Stone, Brittany and "Marshall" have been and perhaps still are an item.
i didn't know they were in the movie... maybe its been upgraded to "wait for DVD" status? that way i can fast forward through the non-hottie scenes!
I thought that Brown Sugar was a must see for all rap fans, but maybe 8 mile is it who knows. I'm gonna watch it. I just hope the suburb thugs don't get out of hand at the theatre.
Does your boy watch Monsters Inc, my son is 2 (08/2000) and he watches that movie at least once per day if not more every since it came out on DVD a few weeks ago. I may take him to go see the Veggie Tales, although he never watches that on TV. He watches Blue's Clues/Sesame Street.
last night was my son's first introduction to veggie tales...he told me in the car on the way home that he liked it, so we'll probably borrow some videotapes from our church library. he LOVES monsters, inc. and both toy story movies! he's also a big Blue's Clues fan...a lesser fan of Sesame Street. i bought spiderman and he liked that too...but during the parts where it was just peter parker he kept asking me, "spiderman coming back?" after the movie he looked at me and said, "spiderman got that bad guy." good stuff...
Oh ok 6 months is pretty huge, cause my son isn't speaking sentences that long yet, had me worried. pardon the thread derailment
yeah..kids move at their own pace...we've had a heck of a time with potty training...i've been told not to worry...it will happen. so far he's just not interested in it.
Right....so back to 8 Mile... She is naked at one point, but you dont see anything, sorry to burst your bubble
My son turned 2 in July. He likes Toy Story 2 but he says the first one is Yucky. He likes the Veggie tales music videos, and loves Blue's clues, Dora, and the Wiggles (an Australian group that sings and dances to kids music). The doctor told us he is pretty verbal for a 2 year old. He can count to 10 and can count to 10 in Spanish with help (learned some of this from Dora).
Yeah 6 months age difference at this point is so huge for development. Seems like everyday they learn/say something new. Did you try buying a potty seat for them? We got my boy a Blue's Clues seat and he goes on it all the time. Castor27 - I was watching the Wiggles with my boy before I left the house this morning. I need to buy Toy Story 1/2. I just bought ET, I bet he will like it.
i can't believe i forgot the wiggles (i actually think they're from the UK) and Dora...he tells me to watch out for the fox all the time...apparently there's some fox in Dora who steals stuff from her. he also likes Stanley, Rollie Pollie Ollie and Bear in the Big Blue House from the Disney Channel a lot. We saw them live at Disneyworld and my son freaked out...he was up dancing around...it was hilarious.
Sonny -- we did buy a seat...but he's just not interested in it...maybe we need to try a blue's clues one, though! that might make the difference!
Stanley is off the hook. Yeah MadMax- that's how we do everything. Blue is the potty. Scooby Doo is his toothbrush. Monsters Inc is his bubbles in the bathtub.
i catch myself singing that song around the office...pretty catchy. "that's right, it's my man, Stanley!"
I was thinking the same thing. The movie looks like Purple Rain meets Rocky. But M&M is a joke compared to the talents of Prince. Nope, I wont be seeing this one, ever. If you want to see a good movie with some excellent rapping, may I reccomend "Cool as Ice" starring Vanilla Ice. Drop the zero and get with a hero!
It is pretty scary, I watch it more than he does. He would rather watch Teletubbies... The goldfish is the best. "...having a friend like you..."
