I actually wouldnt mind him sitting out a few more days and get his proper rest so that he is ready to go for the playoff run.

Somewhere Bear Bryant is rolling over in his grave. Has anyone seen Junction Boys? The Bear tells a player a story about how he played the entire 2nd half on a broken leg.

If the doctor said 10 - 14 days, then what that really means is that he will only be out 7 days. :) Great news

I hope the report of return date is accurate. However, I am dubious.

I had similar surgery and duri ng basketball (90 days after operation) I developed scar tissue such that it had to be surgically repaired, keeping me sidelined another 75 days.

I understand his body is better than mine was, and that procedures have advanced, but our ages were similar, so???

Another good news is that we have only 4 games in the next 10 days including today.

And, regrettably, provide the same value for too long.

Does this mean he will be in game form in 10-14 days, or will he just be working out again, or be able to begin rehab in 10-14 days???

Knowing Sura, he's going to try to play... but we all remember how rusty he was when he first came back (and he had no legs on his jump-shot)... but it will still be better than the utter crap that we're throwing out there now.

I think Bill Worrel said that after 10-14 days he should be able to practice so he should be back in about "3 weeks". Since Sura is so tough I wouldnt be surprised if he is back in about 2 weeks. Remember he came back a few weeks earlier than was expected when he had the original surgery in the summer. If he did come back early he could be rusty for a few games but i dont think it will take him nearly as long to get his shot back as it did when he originally returned.

Not trying to pick on you, NIKEstrad, because you've said basically the same thing some other excellent posters have said about Strickland, but I just got back from SA after watching the game, had fantastic seats, and I can tell you...

Rod Strickland SUX!! He looks much worse in person, from the 24th row, than he does on League Pass, and I didn't think that was possible. Not only that, but Van Gundy was an absolute idiot to play him more than five minutes. It was that bad. No, it was worse than bad, it was embarrassing. I had my '94 championship t-shirt on, raising hell, and the guy's play sickened me. The only thing worse than watching him play point would have been watching Mo Taylor bringing the ball down instead. Hell, I'm worried about McGrady. He's definitely hurting, and was half a step slow the whole game. I hope his injury isn't serious. :(

We desperately need a point. Yesterday. I would cut Strickland, if it were my decision to make.
