I'd like to say that JVG is crazy and his fascination with Strickland must end....but then, I was wrong about him earlier in the year, so I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Clearly, the experiment doesn't seem to be working as of yet, though.

The Rockets have won without Yao, and i think they won without McGrady (Correct me on that one if i'm wrong). They can win without Sura in the lineup for a game or 2. As long as he's not out for a significant period of time we should be fine.

Wesley, Barry, and McGrady can all take care of the ball handling duties. My only concern is losing Sura's energy and toughness.

If Fortson's out tonight then too, that's freakin' huge for us, any validity to Fortson being out as well?

Yep, If Strickland starts we are doomed.
He is old and slow, and still not in game form.
He cant hit an open jumper or even a layup.
    I think he's averaging 0-2 points a game.
Thats a big jump down from Sura whos almost averaging close to a triple double.

More importantly, he is having a miserable 10% FG so far.

Rod Strickland cannot possibly play starter's minutes. Wesley's been a starting PG in the past, Barry can handle the ball. Start those 2 guys and give Rod his usual ineffective minutes.

Seriously, if Rod is soo bad why is JVG starting him instead of Barry? I really hope JVG knows what he's doin. What about Barett? At least he has shown he can shoot the 3 ball ans he has a lot of energy.

i think that strickland has been pretty good so far except that he can't hit a shot. but i don't think we really need our PG to be much of a scoring threat when the other 4 players can score. i've been impressed with his ability to pass and wesley will probably guard ridnour. i'm not too worried now, but we'll see how things turn out tonight.

Have you noticed how much faster Sura and Barry get the ball down the floor???

Thats just what the other team is thinking, and guess what, now they are going to double and triple team our main scoring threats!!!

I think we can survive one game without Sura. Hopefully everyone else will step up their intensity.

But surviving multiple games seems worrysome...hope he feels better soon.

Could CD be on the phone with Boston trying to pry Gary Payton away from them after this news. We will miss Sura's boards big time.
