morey talked about lotto talent possibly slipping to the 18-20 range. if he wants to move into that range i have to think that the heat are the logical trading partner.

we would move ahead of the sixers (21) who should be looking to add a PF like us. the lakers and warrions (19, 18) should be drafting for talent rather than need since LA is in a "win-now" mode and GS can play just about anyone at any possition.

the heat, meanwhile, need a PG. if all of the PG's they want are taken (conley, law, crittenton), they may take luther and our pick where they can probably take pruitt.

If Minnesota isn't too impressed with getting Odom out of the Lakers deal, then maybe we could get involved and send Minnesota Battier plus Head plus Sura (cap relief) plus the #26 for Odom?

Anyone can (and does) say anything they want about CD, but: it seemed every single time a big deal was going down he got into the middle of it. He didn't make them all but he did get into the conversation just about every single time.

I've been thinking about that as I keep seeing every big name being bandied about. I'd let Battier go if JO'N were the ultimate prize. Or Odom (if healthy - IF!), and so on. (Of course post-CD and we are pieces short of doing anything more than facilitating some other teams' big deal.)

This board has been trying to get Lamar Odom since early in the Francis/Mobley era.

I think I remember some trades thrown about when we had the number 1 pick to somehow get Lamar.

I think he'd be a pretty good pick-up and in terms of fit with Adelman would be better than Battier, though his injuries and disappearing acts I imagine can get kind of frustrating. For some reason he seems to pick up his game in the postseason. Don't know how exactly the trade would work, but Lamar does get paid a fairly decent amount (Yao Ming type money currently), but only 2 years left, so probably pretty good trade bait next offseason, too, if it didn't work out.

No point in discussing, though. The Rockets aren't going to facilitate a KG to LA trade unless they get more out of it, imo.

didn't eddie griffin get into fights with his teamates in college? williams smoke some weed and got caught.

getting caught smoking weed a couple of times makes you really dumb, not a bad person, definitely not as bad as masterbaiting in public and shooting at your girlfriend.

I say lets give Rafer a Miami reunion. He actually wasn't bad as the backup in Miami.

Ronny, another guy that seems to be doing a serious freefall which is suprising me is Julian Wright of Kansas. He was once a top 5 pick, but now seems he could be had in the mid-teens or maybe late teens. Something to watch for.

Cat kept spiffing the acquisition of Odom.

Odom would be a great pick up, if and when (a) his health were affirmed and (b) when he returned from Oz with a (basketball) heart. Why in heaven's name is he not Kobe's Robin right now?

Great find! If the Wizards are looking for backcourt depth, we could do the #26+Head for #16 swap. That way the Wizards get a guy like Head that can play two spots in their backcourt and a player at #26. At #16 I absolutely would love to get Thad Young there if he is available.

That's the big concern with Odom. He misses 30 games a year, and will be coming off shoulder surgery. We would need TMac, Yao and Odom all healthy come playoff time, which might be like catching lightning in a bottle.

Yes, Dennis was a coach at the RBK Eurocamp (google it and you will find the website) and Daryl was there scouting. They weren't just there to look at the Italian kid.

Draftexpress had some good coverage of the camp.

Yeh Cat wanted us to trade the #1 overall pick (Ming) for Odem. Hahahahahah I remember him saying "Man can you imagine Francis running the fast break with me (Cat) and Odem on the wings? Like it would of been unstoppable. Odem would be a good fit if he could stay healthy. Havent kept up with him since hes been with the Fakers. But he still seems to miss alot.

And just had shoulder surgery IIRC. And wants a three year extention if traded. And doesn't show up when at the games too much of the time. My main man, all talent and no (ok, too little) game.

Oh and im sure his girlfriend had it coming! That beyutch probably didnt have dinner ready for him after he got home from his dope run.

i think we still need rafer. head + #26 is enough to move up.

if conley, lawy, and crittenton are off the board i think miami will move down so they can draft pruitt at #26 plus add luther while doing so. for us, we skip in front of the sixers who will be looking for a PF too.

maybe williams, smith, or mcroberts will be there.

EG's problems got much worse when he turned pro... The thing with Williams is not about smoking weed, it's about smoking weed to the point of getting kicked out and losing out on millions $
