My personal issue is that I mostly care only about the Rockets. Don't care much for football and even less for the astros. Wex and MJ used to talk sufficient NBA even during off season to keep me tuned in. Now it's all football and more football. I hope this changes drastically as we get closer to the NBA season start.
N.D. is from San Antonio so his name might as well be N.D gonzalez. And by that I mean he loves his spurs.:grin: I think he could talk basketball all day long if the name of the show wasn't in the trenches. Love N.d. Uncle greg however, he should stick to 'lawyering' and threesomes.
Really wish I could listen to the big show again. Jay mohr is total crap btw. I am forced to listen to josh and rich. Never cared for cpullilo. FmL.
It feels like 790 went from the cusp of being great to the brink of implosion. The only improvement made in the latest shake-up IMO was the afternoon drive. I think Charlie just works better solo. I love Lance, but Clanton drags him way down - Lance > Matt & Adam > Lance & Clanton. And moving Matt Thomas from noon to make room for Mohr is just wrong. Mohr's show feels like one of those wacky morning zoo parodies come to life, complete with crazy sound effects.

I prefer John Harris alongside Lance in the morning. I don't dislike Clanton like you guys and I'd rather hear a show with Clanton solo over a show with John Harris solo. But Lance & Harris works better for me.

adam clanton's insecurities are fully exposed in his radio personality, probably the most annoying part of the show
Can you blame the guy. He's like a wanna be Jim Rome. He disses soccer and thinks that's still funny. He doesn't provide anything knowledgable about sports, just hyperbole that makes him sound like a frat boy at a Mensa convention.
His personality is just exposed when put up against a well cultured, well-informed guy like Lance. He's reduced to a sidekick throwing out tired catchphrases. He's basically Fallout Boy. But when you understand the target demo they're going for, you can be sure the network sees it as a necessary component for ratings.
I had high hopes for him. Early on when he was on 610 I thought he'd become a younger Lance but for NBA basketball. He's not evolved at all. He doesn't even watch basketball outside of the Rockets. He's just a fan with a show and hasn't grown at all. It's quite sad.
Lance is well cultured? Lance is well informed on football, specifically linemen. Lance is exposed on every single other sport. Clanton actually watches and talks Rockets. For me, who cares about anything else.
I didn't like jon Harris yesterday when I listened As for adam, I think he's fine. Lance tends to whine a hit too much around him. I'm jot sure they like working together
He hosts a local foodie show on 740 and is fairly knowledgeable when it comes to pop culture and TV/movies.
So a fat guy who watches TV is cultured. This new foodie trend just doesn't scream cultured to me. Possibly semantics.
I agree, I'm not at all sure lance watches or keeps up with basketball in any capacity anymore. Adam and Matt T are definitely more interested in the rockets But I still enjoy the show and listen, moreso than matt and adam. Does anyone know what matt Jackson is doing? I'm surprised wex has found a job faster than him, I always proffered him on the radio.
