Nice way to wake up in the morning. Since 1560 dropped the ball on getting a signal that can cover over 10 miles, I'll now be a loyal 790 morning listener. SO GLAD 610 is now off of my sports dial!!!

Wow, how did they snag Donaghy for tomorrow? Clear Channel pulling its mega-company strings?

Yea, Matt is pretty forgetful so I wouldn't be suprised to see a slip up or two in the next few weeks.

And yet they ended their show with celebrity birthdays?

So if the Tiger news would have came out today they wouldn't have mentioned it?

Ah, yes. A Monday morning staple.

    1. Get to work
    2. Get coffee
    3. Do a quick search for Fatty's weekend posts
    4. Shake my head in amazement

    Some things just never change.

They should put Rich Lord and John Lopez together! That would be amazing.

    Just kidding.

I caught him on the first day, I think. I listened for a few minutes. He sounded like a preacher or something. lol. I'll listen again to figure out if I like him or not. The whole "Mighty Guinn" or whatever name is cheesy.

He's terrible. I'll give the guy one more chance tomorrow before giving up. But having Matt & Adam until 10:00 am is great. No more need to keep changing the dial around trying to find something worth listening to.

610 is now irrelevant except for Jim Rome lovers. All three of their main slots are garbage now. In the mornings, Matt & Adam totally rule. In the afternoon, not having Matt completely nukes that slot. Lastly, replacing Adam in the evening with Barry Warner was a not exactly a stroke of genius. Maybe the person who made that decision had a stroke beforehand.

I do miss having Wexler on the way home on 610, but it's been great having something really good to listen to in the morning. I used to make due listening to Mike & Mike and/or the Buzz morning show, and occasionally Vandermeer and toolbag if they had an interview. Now I usually just listen to music on the way home. Never did much afternoon listening in the first place.

I listened to him a few times the last week and a half. Mostly Texans talk, but I thought he was very good. Good voice, smart takes, handles the callers well.

Perhaps I need to listen longer, but how long is it before he takes callers? I haven't heard one yet? He must wait until after 10:30.

I think 790 should push the dynamic duo back one hour and have their show from 7:00 to 11:00.

Okay, who is the poor sap on 610 at night who is forced to do a show with Barry Warner? I listened on the way home Tuesday night and Warner is an even bigger tool than he was 20 years ago.

You guys should consider yourselves lucky that you're too young to remember Barry Warner doing Rocket games before Bill Worrell. The guy makes John Lopez sound like Bob Costas. He makes Richard Justice look like Walter Cronkite.

Who at 610 came up with the idea of digging up this washed up old fossil and giving him his own show? In 2009???

    MY GOD.

    Warner is bad. very bad.

he's got a great voice and likes to hear it. He's got bad opinion's, which is fine, but he won't let his co-host get a word in edgewise.

I turned it off in disgust pretty quickly when I heard him.

Honestly, I don't mind him so much for the simple fact that he doesn't tow the company line for every sports team in the city. He doesn't mind calling people out when they suck (cough Dunta cough). But, he does give off an incredibly strong douche vibe, and I don't like how he overpowers his co-host. But, in all honesty, I'm sure his co-host probably doesn't have anything important to say either. Basically, 610 blows hard these days.
