I just can't wait until Monday. I've dreaded the morning drive shows for awhile now. John and Lance are usually pretty solid, but my truck still doesn't pick them up clearly.
I just want to say publicly that I was wrong. I said Mattj would not get the big bucks job until after his testicles descended and he finally got his adult speaking voice. (you could still synthesize it down a little on Monday Matty)
Sumlin called out Lopez for speculation cause he thought Lopez called UH "irrelevant." It was the other 610 tool Lord. I haven't laughed so hard since the old man (Maggard) called out Jackson. Jackson should invite Penders on his show. That would be sweet.
Personally I think CP is probably pretty p!ssed off since they let Delottie go but David really sux as a host. I cannot believe MattJ left the #1 show in Houston for #4 in the mornings. I guess he is going to make a boat load of money and was probably helping his pall Wex. They obviously were fighting for MattJ and this Thomas guy that is doing the noon slots. But 610 has a real up an comer in Josh Innes he is been around for 3 weeks but I think he has the best show in Houston radio. That guys is so funny. Obviously I will tune in to all the stations since I love sports and hate commercails. As for Lopez, he is much more tolerable since he is been on 610 for whatever reason. I still hate him but not as much as I hate Rich Lord. The 610 afternoon show is going to intolerable.
I don't hate Lopez. Is he one of my favorites, NO, but I don't hate him. Now Rich Lord and his anti-A&M/pro-UT bias is annoying. I'd have to put Rich as the worst on Houston radio.
I used to listen to Monsters of the Midday when they first started in late 06 i believe or early 07. there are several reasons why Lopez started turn me off (and that being said I do find myself listening to 610's morning show). First off when they first came on I thought they were a decent alternative to Rome. First came my annoyance with his voice, the Tex Mex, central texas accent with the nasal hue to go along with it is just hard to accept then his obvious love for his hometown spurs began to show he's a typical sportswriter, athletes should just shut up and play, coaches and organizations are always right because they're in charge yada yada yada Then, crap hits the fan for me in early 07 when this clown claims that Yao could have won a championship with the 93-94 rockets replacing Dream And finally this year, I'm listening to his first show on 610 and he wants to rail on Vince Young, its like week 3 and nobody is talking about vince and he wants to rub it in. but Monday, when everyone wanted to talk about vince's game against the cardinals, he actually says "enough talk about vince", the guy is just a straight up jerk

dont kid yourself. Go back and look...lopez hate happened long before the Sumlin thing. Go read the reactions when it was first announced he was going to be on 610.
the afternoon guys are not too bad. One of them is a little annoying (not sure which) but they have had some funny bits here and there. I wish adam and wex were doing the afternoons. I don't listen to sports radio in the morning
Lopez is simply the biggiest D-bag on the radio. I hate that guy and pretty much agree with most other people here about him. And he love to put in nonchalant little things about the spurs all the time. I will only listen to 610 for Rocket games and Rome.
So you're saying I get to listen to Matt and Adam on the drive to work and Pallilo on the way home?? This is win in every way! Now if only 790 could get the Rockets games
It appears 1560 is jumping on the wounded hen now too. Announced they are going to be doing a Texans post game wrap show. Pretty sad that people will listen to the game on the radio on 610 and then immediately change the station so they don't have to hear Lopez et al spewing out lines of horsepoop.
